We made a reservation for 7 pm and weren't sat till 7:40 which was frustrating. It was freezing inside the restaurant but after we were sat the service was decent and the food was pretty good. The bread had a strange off tinge but that wasn't the end of the world. The restaurant was nice and had that old-school Italian flair and after we were sat it was an enjoyable experience. the food and ambiance make it worth your while in my opinion.

Good but not great Italian food. More family style including buffet. Service was friendly but took 20 mins to get a check. Just disorganized.

Years have gone by, since I ate at Vinny s. Due to health reasons. Atmosphere was lovely with waitresses always prompt and smiling. Food is delicioso and special. All individual entrees- Fish, Chicken, Veal, Pasta, etc.- are cooked and seasoned to your specifications. Till this day. Everyone raves Vinny s Best.

This is my go-to Italian restaurant, and I love it. Few restaurants in NYC survive for ten years, let alone twenty-six—one taste and you’ll instantly see why.Let’s be clear: If you’re looking for old-country authenticity that is just like your Italian nonna’s cooking, or a trendy, extremely upscale avant-garde spot that is clearly gunning for a Michelin star, look elsewhere—there are plenty of other Italian restaurants in the vicinity that fill that niche better. But if you want Italian-American comfort food the way Italian families in NYC have been making it at home for at least a hundred years, the kind for which your neighborhood pizzeria’s non-pizza dinner entrees are but a pale imitation, this spot is unsurpassed. They’ve got the best chicken parm in the city (crispy and slathered in a rich, tangy marinara), the best spaghetti bolognese in the city (robust with Italian spices, warm and crumbly, perfectly balanced, sticks to your ribs). If you want to know what a great Italian-American meal of meat, pasta, and red sauce actually worth $20 tastes like, not that cynical nonsense they serve you at the likes of Olive Garden, this is the place. Bring your Midwestern friends from Podunk who grew up eating pasta at their local family restaurant and wow their socks off. It’s not chic or Instagram-friendly, but it is the finest possible version of the Italian food most of America remembers, big city pretensions be damned. Also, the atmosphere is cozy and the wait staff are absolute sweethearts. Highly recommended.

Decidedly average food, uninterested service, and the waitresses added their own service charge when we didn’t leave one. Not recommended.
