I just read the review about an elderly man that frequents the restaurant and the staff taking advantage of him. That is completely FALSE! That is a terrible way to express your opinion! I am also a longtime customer, I know Jim and he gives money to the staff. I have witnessed the staff refuse this money and he threw an absolute fit! Caused a scene in the restaurant and yelled its HIS money and he will do what he pleases with it. He comes in almost daily AND the girls have called his daughter to make her aware of this.As far as his dementia, why would you all let him drive to the restaurant twice a day? I myself am here almost everyday and sometimes sit with him. He is a funny and wonderful man. He loves the staff and hugs all of them before he leaves. And myself.So your review is distasteful and wrong. Gets your facts straight before you try and ruin a business!

Even though I've always loved this restaurant and the food is great, I am completely disgusted with most of the staff. My grandfather has been a loyal customer here for many many years. Daily! He is a very generous man. He was diagnosed with dementia a while ago and everyone at this restaurant is very well aware. Yet, even knowing my papa isn't in his right frame of mind, they knowing except money from him every day. Even the workers who are not his waitress. My mother went with him recently and informed them all about the situation they fought her tooth and nail, not wanting to give back the money he insisted on giving that day. I understand when someone gives you money it's yours. But when you knowingly accept hundreds from a sick man, then you're just simply taking advantage at this point and it breaks my heart knowing that

My sis in law and family drove out from Syracuse to celebrate my birthday! I figured they were tired and needed good food . We all enjoyed our meals very much. The service was wonderful and they couldn’t stop raving about their meal choices. It's about time for an update. I've had takeout from here twice in the last couple of months and each time I ordered the souvlaki wrap. I don't even know how to say this, but it is almost too good to eat. I am not a huge fan of meat and usually pick it out of dishes but this chicken must be marinated in unicorn tears and magic dust because it is SO delicious. Quality chicken that is tender and flavorful. It has the other usual cast of characters, lettuce, tomato, onion, feta and dill sauce all wrapped up in a fluffy warm pita wrap. I always get a couple of extra sides of dill sauce and you're going to want to also because it's delish.

This is one of two places my daughter likes to go for special dinners with her dad. Today she chose to have him bring her here for her 7th birthday... what a good choice she made!! After her delicious birthday meal of chocolate chip pancakes, eggs, and bacon a few waitresses from the surrounding sections brought her out a scoop of ice cream with a candle, sang to her, and presented her a little envelope!! The envelope had special birthday drawings on it, and contained lollipops and other special treats!! What amazing women and what an amazing experience!! Thank you for creating such a positive core memory for my little girl ?

Had breakfast there 2 days in a row. I'm a bit of an egg "snob" lol but the over easy eggs I ordered were very good. The home fries were also good, and I normally don't care much for breakfast style potatoes. It was very busy both times I went, and the locals told me it's always like this, however the wait for a table for 2 was not bad. 15-20 min the first day, and much less the next day; and well worth the wait.

We were a party of three and were seated promptly, with orders taken after drinks were served and we had a chance to 'digest' the menu. All meals were well-prepared, plated nicely and presented cheerfully by our waitress who attended to our preferences with great care and enthusiasm. We would recommend this restaurant to any local residents or visitors to the area.

This place is always hopping and it's easy to understand why. The place itself is in a great location with great parking, it's well-designed and put together for functionality, seating, and movement throughout. The cleanliness is superb. We watch them move tables and chairs to ensure the floors are clean as well as, clean as things should be cleaned; if not better. The bathroom is clean and not caked in dust or dirt; well-maintained. The staff from top to bottom is very well-mannered, kind, and helpful. The food never disappoints, ever! At least it hasn't for me anyway, or any family and friends I have brought to Alton's who have made it a staple on their menu of choices. We've been going here for years, upon years. Today we ordered the spinach feta omelet with crispy home fries with onion and rye toast and Alton's Special breakfast (pancakes, eggs, bacon). We will continue enjoying Alton's to say the least.
