Had a great time eating delicious food at Brats Hill restaurant. We were promptly greeted by Chris D and taken to a table. The waiters and waitresses were committed to great service and were very friendly. The atmosphere was awesome and I definitely liked that there was that raw , real, Jamaican vibe. Most importantly, Chef Chris and the kitchen staff killed the Lamb Shank entree. 100% worth it!

I went here with a friend for healthy options restaurant week 2024. This was our first visit. Parking was easy to find and free also parking details were sent with the reservation reminder!! The restaurant was neat and clean with lots of plant life to brighten the space. The servers were very friendly answered all of our questions and made the experience enjoyable. I ordered the Tally Man Boat and Blackened Salmon it was very good!! My friend had the Oxtail Ragú she said the pasta was fresh and sauce had oxtail mixed inside plus the one that was served in the top, she said it tasted amazing.Parking: Parking is available next to the boardwalk in Larkin Square Lot or across the street from the restaurant there is an orange sign that says Bratts Hill Parking ten onto the brick road on Emslie.

Bratts Hill by Chef Darian is a delightful gem offering a culinary journey to Jamaica. My visit was exceptional from start to finish. The opportunity to be served by the chef's sister added a personal touch, enriching our experience with stories and history about the place. This familial warmth and hospitality made us feel special and connected to the restaurant's roots. Our late reservation turned into a memorable encounter as Chef Darian himself visited our table, enhancing our dining experience with his personal touch. Such attention to guests is a rare find and speaks volumes about the passion and care put into the restaurant. The food was nothing short of spectacular. I particularly recommend the sea bass entree; its preparation was impeccable, making it one of the finest I have ever tasted. The flavors were well-balanced, showcasing the skillful blend of traditional Jamaican cooking with a modern twist.Overall, Bratts Hill by Chef Darian is not just a meal, but an experience. It earns a well-deserved 5 stars for its outstanding food, unique personal touches, and warm hospitality. It's a place I'd eagerly recommend to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience.

From the service to the food to the atmosphere everything was top notch. Dinning here is an experience in itself. The staff were very attentive with drinks and knowledgeable about the menu. They gave great recommendations. The menu had a little bit of everything. The apps and main courses were plated very well, and every bite was delicious. The final touch that sealed the deal was the lavender towels they gave at the end to wipe your hands. The aroma was very soothing and ended things perfectly.

My sister and I went 2/23 to celebrate my birthday. We had reservations for 8, we arrived and due to there being no sign, it's was a difficult to find, Once we entered the establishment we were treated by a server who informed us that the hostess will seat un momentarily, My sister and I stood waiting by the door which was partially open and it was cold outside for almost 10 minutes, the hostess walked by us twice and my sister had to stop him the third time and ask if we could be seated as it was cold just standing by the open door. The ambience was fair as the decor is pleasant, however the tables are very small and I felt like I was in grade school sitting at a desk. It took 25 minutes for our server to come with the menu and bring a magnifying glass as reading the menu was a challenge, between the small print and the lighting the menu was difficult to read. Once we placed our order, our drinks came out after waiting 20 minutes, and we both had the calypso colatas which wasn't much to rave about. After being seated at 8:10, waiting for drinks, putting in our dinner order we finally received our food around 9:30. I ordered the blackened salmon and my sister ordered I believe it was the tour of Jamacia which feeds two. Let's strat with the $8.00 bread basket, the bread didn't taste fresh at all and the waitress asked if it was ok and I told her that it didn't taste fresh and it was not warm. Now on to the appetizers which were these spring rolls where the filling and the flavor of the rolls was barley there. The main course, the blackened Salmon with the coconut sauce, rice and vegetables was flavorless, the rice was cold the vegetables under cooked, the tour of Jamaica wasn't much of a tour as the presentation was just as lifeless as the meal. The rice and peas was cold and the meat was chard and flavorless nothing about this meal felt like Jamaica. My sister and I decided to get our check as the entire dining experience was horrible, the highlight of the evening was when the head server Nick brought a purse stand so that my purse wouldn't have to be placed on the already small table, and as anyone with fine dining experience knows. A lady should never place her handbag on the table or the floor. After paying our bill it was an absolute pleasure to leave as my birthday would have been better off spent eating from a food truck, an over priced sad attempt to turn Jamaica cuisine into upscale fine dining is my impression of Bratts Hill. Chef Darian I am beyond disappointed.

WOW... very impressed!!! Taste and quality, top notch, food & drinks!! Service was beyond expectations, thanks to a great host and John. John quickly became someone we were interacting with as opposed to your normal service at other places. Feel like we made a friend with John... he is flat out awesome. Loved the organic, lively atmosphere that had no hint of pretentiousness! Looking forward to this experience again in warmer temperature, try it out in the open. A MUST for anyone wanting to have a great dining experience. Please note: the lunch menu is not necessarily offered on their dinner menu... but if you at dinner looking for the Rasta Pasta, sssshhhhh, they'll work with you. Time flew which is generally a testament to how it went. Went as a couple, but already making plans for sharing nights with others. If you are willing & able, practically anything on the menu will not disappoint, which makes this a safe bet. If they ask, tell them the guy with the Dominican card sent you (John knows)!!

Other than trying to find where to park it was a lovely experience. I went during the lunch hours getting a two meat dinner. Jerk chicken and Oxtails, sides were edible as well. Very clean space, warm and inviting energy. I'd love to check it out for dinner someday. Highly recommend, and not too pricey for the quality of food. Will be back !!!!

Great service and food. I got the jerk chicken pasta ;off the menu item) and it was well worth it. Great Jamaican feel in the restaurant but not too much which is good. Would highly recommend if you enjoy Jamaican food or are looking to venture out!

Can we just talk about Bratts Hill by Chef Darian for a minute? Perhaps the best dining experience in Buffalo. The service, impeccable - thank you Nick and Aria, the food absolutely outstanding, and if you do not order the coconut key lime creme brulee, you have no one to blame but yourself. And thank you to Chef Chris, for spending some time with us at the end of our meal. Chef Darian has done everything right. Folks, if you are in the 716 or close by, you must, must, must go!
