Beer isn't good.

Been here a few times while using our WNY Beer Trail Pass. Always a good selection of beers on tap. Sometimes the bartenders are a bit quiey but at least they pay attention and keep your glass filled. We also joined a party that rented the place out for a wedding and that was a great time as well. Parking is a bit tough sometimes but never to the point where we cant get in. We will be back again once the weather warms up.

We had an AMAZING time! The wings and pizza bagel were delicious, great atmosphere, and Lindsay and the whole crew were really friendly and provided incredible service. Thanks!

We came for the Halloween movie night. It was a GREAT price... $10 for a movie, a beer, a glass, and popcorn. However, there was no popcorn, so they gave us some free nacho appetizers instead to share amongst everyone participating. They played the movie outside on their patio with a projector and blow up screen, which I wish it was advertised ahead of time that it was outside, so that we could be more prepared for the chilly weather. It also would have been better if they had their fire pit on and/or the space heater for those unprepared folks like us. Not your average Nachos 9/10The corn tortilla chips were amazing by themselves. The queso, I was very surprised to taste homemade beer cheese (I didn't look at the menu before), it was really good and a little went a long way on those chips. I just wish the chips at the bottom had a teeeeny bit more. The only other topping was some shredded cheese.Salsa and sour cream were on the side, the salsa was good also.

The Whale is the best beer when you go hiking! Chestnut Ridge on a beautiful fall day!

I went there with a few friends for their Thursday trivia night. We had so much fun! It was lovely sitting around the fire on the back patio. We ordered some drinks and plenty of food to share. Everything was delicious and the service was helpful. Will definitely be back again!

Our bar maid Lindsey was awesome! She explained the varieties of beer in great detail. And we loved her food recommendations. A true asset!

Stopped in for a quick lunch and a couple of drinks! They have drinks for everyone! We had beer and the seltzer which was amazing! Wings were delicious and hot. Fries came with 2 dipping sauces! The bartender was also amazing!

Awesome place, beer, service, and all other shenannigans you could want from a brewery. A must-not-miss if you're in Buffalo and want a good time revolving around beer.

This place is fantastic. I’ve enjoyed their beers for years but this was my first time visiting the taproom. Really love this place so it won’t be my last time visiting. The food is amazing. Very inventive wings sauces that are a nice change from hot, medium and mild. Sunday brunch breakfast sandwich may be the best I’ve had. Bartender was kind with good conversation. Came with my wife and three boys and there are games and activities to keep them entertained. Good drink selections aside from beer as well. Easy 10 out of 10.

Buffalo, NY has quite a few breweries, but CBW is in the top three. No doubt. Frank and The Whale are in my top five favorites.

An amazing beer garden, and special place to spend some time on the West Side of Buffalo. I really enjoyed their original "grassroots" location off Niagara Street, but have equally grown to love their newer location on 7th near Jersey. Really nice patios at the front and back of the establishment, and a really nice and spacious dining area inside, which includes an upstairs mezzanine (with toys and games - including a RUSH pinball machine!!), a large bar with stools, and plenty of seating in various areas. Their "pub grub" style food is surprisingly good - we love their hot pretzels with mustard/cheese for dipping. Their beer selection is substantial year-round, and I have many favorites. The Whale (and its various seasonal variations) is excellent. They have a year-round Pilsner that is always easy to drink. And their seasonal Octoberfest is another one I enjoy, as it is a unique take on the Fall classic. Already looking forward to my next visit!
