I cannot believe in all the years I've lived up the street I haven't stopped here but I sure have been missing out! After getting my nails done next door, I decided to stop in on recommendation of my roommate. I didn't plan to buy anything since I'm going away for a couple of days but I could not resist. Rob was very friendly and helpful. It's not a big place, but there's options galore and he showed me around and told me about a lot of the foods and who prepared them and what's in them. I was also surprised to see Gondola ravioli there! As a teen, I worked at Latinas and after they closed, I would buy them at Tops. But I haven't seen them there in AGES and haven't found a replacement. I was so happy and had to buy some. Then I saw the delicious banana peppers (amongst other things) and bought both varieties of those and a few BBQ meatballs (all of these made in-house). I got home and threw the banana peppers in the oven immediately and warmed up the meatballs as a little appetizer while I waited (hey, I hadn't eaten all day and it was dinner time!). The meatballs were great ... they were mini and size but packed with flavor. Of the 2 banana pepper varieties I bought, me and my son both agreed the one with Italian sausage in it was our favorite! We absolutely cannot wait to have them again ... so much so that I had to call and make sure they are a regular option so I can grab them soon! The store itself is incredibly clean, organized, and aesthetically pleasing. The cuts of meat are beautiful. There's plenty of raw meat options, cooked items, fresh and frozen, individual or bulk, some salads, deli meats and cheese, a few other things. Oh, there's tons of unique hamburgers too in which they mix their ground beef with various ingredients for different flavors. Prices are on par with anywhere else ... no worries about jacked up prices here at all! Very fair. Great customer service, appearance, and variety. No complaints at all. I look forward to shopping here again!

Olde World ambience with top quality meats. A window into a long-gone post-war America. I was shocked when I walked in. Friendly, knowledgeable butchers. If you're curious as to what a butcher shoppe was like in 1950 - this is it.

I love Federal Meats.This year my husband and I decided to just do a small thing at home for the two of us. And since it was just going to be us, I thought why not try something new? I found a recipe for a Turkey Roulade and decided to go for it. I've never made one before but if I have a recipe I can make anything.I called the day before Thanksgiving and asked the butcher to debone and butterfly a Turkey breast for me and it was ready within the hour.When I went to go pick it up I decided that since I was there I should go ahead and buy the stuffing from them to fill it with as well. They make really good stuffing. Then I decided I might as well grab a tub of their Turkey gravy too. So I did.They even threw in the string to truss the Roulade with. Talk about service :)It was just about the easiest thing to make and it came out great.Thank you, Federal Meats, for always having fresh meat-- and for doing most of the work for me!

I make 2 large bracioles (top round steak rolled and filled with egg, cheese, seasonings and prosciutto) in my Christmas sauce every year. I have a hard time pounding the top round to tenderize and flatten it enough to stuff and roll it up. I decided last year I would try Federal for the top round this year. I am so pleased with how Federal trimmed and pounded this for me. I went in and told the butcher what I was doing with it and he pounded it perfectly. They even gave me the string to tie it up. This was delicious. I will definitely be buying this from Federal every year now.

I drive all the way from orchard park to come to federal meats on Sheridan. They are always eager to help and give u exactly what you want. Great price for great value. Steaks are great highly recommend. Bacon great. I bight a smoker this past summer and the manager knows his stuff great recipes and just overall family friendly kind people. They know their costumers and are super helpful. If you have ever been go they are great!!!!

Loved you fish fry. Picked up three dinners last evening. My only problem is you need to institute some type of curbside delivery. I had to go in the store to pick up, therefore exposing myself to others and your store. I will order again but only if you do something to rectify the pickup situation.
