What a delightfully unexpected treat!Italian outside of the immediate NYC area is always a little uncertain, but honestly I couldn't have been happier with this absolute gem.For starters, our waitress was a peach, very boisterous and absolutely delightful, quick and yet still apologized for the non-existent delay, and super helpful. She gave great advice and pointed out something on the menu I missed, which I ended up ordering (the lasagna). The food was absolutely fantastic. This is hands down one of the best marinara sauces I've ever had, and if my aunt heard that she'd kill me for it. Also, though it was unusual for an American restaurant, paying for the bread service was genuinely worth it. Tasty bread with some garlic rolls that were absolutely incredible. The prices were truly very good - not the best I've ever seen, but for the quality and quantity of food I would never feel bad paying it.The only bad part about this restaurant is that I'm not local to it and therefore I don't know if I'll ever be able to make it back! If you're in Buffalo, especially in the area, you'd be sorely missing out to skip Giacobbi's!

Ridiculously amazing (and fast!) food and the best service from our waitress, Nicole. Either by itself would be worth coming back. Together this restaurant is a must.

Had a meatball bomber sandwich with a Sicilian old fashioned. The meatballs were bursting with flavor as advertised and the fries were great. The service was okay.

If you are looking for good Italian food, this is NOT the place for you. We are from NJ, so maybe we are spoiled with good Italian food. We are in the area for the weekend, and we decided to come here based on a recommendation from our hotel front desk. We first ordered soup and salad. Caesar salad was run of the mill, out of the bag salad. My mom's soup was the special of the day and came out cold. She had to ask our server to warm it up in the microwave, and it was luke-warm at best. I had the "award winning" shrimp crab bisque - not sure what kind of awards it would have won. For dinner, my daughter ordered the lasagna... it tasted like it was pre-made frozen lasagna. My mom ordered penne vodka with shrimp. It was NOT vodka sauce. It was closer to marinara, and not at all "pink" as advertised. The shrimp was so chewy and stringy and seasoned awfully. I ordered the chicken marsala. While the portion was huge - two chicken breasts, about a pound of spaghetti and just as many mushrooms, the marsala sauce was AWFUL. I have never in my life tasted marsala sauce like this...it was so bad it tasted sour. It was inedible. We all pretty much moved our food around our plates, without eating much of anything. We did also accept the offered "bread plate"...which, by the way, is an extra $7. In NJ, bread is always placed in a warm basket on the table, no extra charge. We paid extra for the bread and the two rolls were doughy and very undercooked. I have learned a lesson...when in Buffalo, DO NOT order Italian food at Giacobbi's. Stay away. There has to be better Italian food close by.

I came here for my birthday dinner because I saw the other recommendation from the black guy who came here for his birthday dinner. Their staff Is amazing. The ambience is amazing. The food is really really good. I had the Alfredo and it hit the Alfredo spot. We have 3 kids who caused normal kid trouble and the whole staff was nothing but welcoming to our family. Please give this establishment a try for dinner, birthday dinner, date night, party night, and any night. They deserve praise for the quality of restaurant they our. Amazing place.Kid-friendliness: Servers went above and beyond for our family's time there as well as making sure kids were set.

Honestly some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had. My fiancé and I just found this restaurant by luck and it made our whole trip! Our server Nicole was incredible and I know our experience wouldn’t have been the same without her. Highly recommend and I know we will be back soon!
