As a middle-aged dude for whom sleep has replaced sex as the ultimate goal in life, this place has reinvigorated me. Met some friends here for drinks and had a great time. Emily the bartender was on point all night. A brilliant host, her sarcasm and wit were superior to mine, which pissed me off at first but eventually I conceded defeat. Worth every penny. Will definitely be returning as often as I can!Also, they have dart boards!

Only reason you have 1 star is because I have to give you something to review your establishment. Brought in over 20 people to your bar to celebrate to find out you've blocked black and Hispanic music on your juke box. When the owner Jamison was questioned about it, he denied having control over the music which was a bold face lie. He does not want Black or Hispanic customers in his bar. We took our crew outta there and down Hertel where they're welcomed. Will never be back and don't suggest anyone else goes here either.

This place is a major upgrade from the previous checkers, I'll never forget the old checkers would serve beef on weck sandwiches and I was there on a summers day and looked straight on to see fly's buzzing around the bag of rolls and the crockpot
