I've been coming here since I was a kid since the early eighties I grew up in the Black Rock This place was a family staple for dinner. The pizza has not changed over the years Dough made fresh daily very fresh pepperoni different as well not the usual Char cup they use the fresh sliced thin I don't think it's margarita brand. Fresh Italian dinners as well meatballs are out of this world homemade however they run out the fresh meals because their cooked daily I believe so get there early I recommend this place very affordable very fresh very authentic food. They close early however I believe 9 p.m.

I don't know what it is about this place, but their white pizza is one that not only am I not able to forget, I am sure to relive the experience each year as my birthday rolls around. While I do like their cheese & pepperoni pizza, for me the white pizza they make here is leagues beyond many other local places. There's just something special about how it all comes together in both presentation & taste in my eyes. Recommended.

Cute little place, stopped by there for lunch. Reasonably cheap and had a good lunch special with 2 hotdogs with relish onions ketchup mustard and all that, baked beans, and a pasta salad for around 6 bucks. I enjoyed it, they were really nice as well! Probably stop by there again sometime

Excellent breakfast. Can't believe how consistent everything is. You won't regret stopping in. I strongly recommend the Bacon Cheese Burger Sub Xtra Mayo of course. Maryann, Bonnie and of course Cheryl will always make you feel like Family

Hey you, stop right there! Before dropping a few bucks on a ticket to Italy, a hour drive out to the in-laws for dinner, or maybe even that walk down through Little Italy; look no further than Angie's Pizza House for the old school Italian savory deliciousness that makes you wish your nonna was still around to cook up a batch of pasta sauce! With a simple menu, but homemade variety to choose from, you cannot go wrong. "Delizioso Polpetta!" "Delizioso!" is exactly what i yell when it comes to Angie's homemade pasta and Meatballs. With sauce that brings your taste buds on a journey to a time when "momma" would create those home cooked meals, and meatballs with savory juices that would keep you coming back for more; Angie's pasta and meatball is a must try! With fresh homemade sauce daily on the stove top, and homemade meatballs, you'll feel right at home with your very first bite! Don't let the looks of this place fool you; with the old store front, and a few minor facial details missing... This place is truly a hidden treasure; no wonder why this is a neighbor hood favorite! Not all diamonds are stashed in a safe, some are still to be found.

This place is A-OK. I was brought here by my boss for lunch. There is not much to write about. The place was small, cramped, and everyone seemed to know each other. The place and it's patrons look like they've been there for decades. It's a no brainer if this place is a local favorite. The food is nothing exceptional but, it's priced fairly. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here again, but I wouldn't be upset if I was brought here again.

This was an impulse stop. My companion and I were actually on our way to Vizzies, saw this place on the way and just made a detour. We were the only "non regulars" in the place, which was quite clear very quickly. We were not made to feel unwelcome in any way, but they all just carried on with their conversation. The booths are comfortable enough. I think 4 booths and perhaps 4 tables, a few counter seats. We had a peperoni pizza, they use the larger pepperoni. Pizza was fine, but did not leave me wanting more. Price was fine. Street parking. Not my first choice for pizza or a return visit, but if I was in the area Id come back.

Dirty, blandy, greasy, and dilapidated. Even as cheap local diners go, this place it terrible. Don't waste your money.

I feel Angie's White Pizza is definitely my favorite White Pizza out of any other pizza place. That's what I order whenever I go here.

Pizza was way below what I expected. Some sort of cheese blend- or fake cheese. Garbage pre-sliced big pepperoni- no flavor. Crust was pretty good.

Angie's is located in the historic Black Rock neighborhood in Buffalo. Angies is a medium size restaurant and exemplifies a neighborhood restaurant with true-to-heart home cooking. The menu covers all the pizza house staples from pizza & wings to a variety of pasta, steak & chicken dishes. If home-cooking, comfort food is what you're looking for, look no further and pay Angie's a visit.

I'm ashamed to say I lived in Black Rock nearly 3 years before trying this "local favorite." This small, hole in the wall diner in an awesome brick building (which also hosts Manar's) has surpisingly ample seating and good food for it's tiny, non-descript interior. For anyone who has lived in a small town, as I have, Angie's has that old school "we use it 'til it falls apart" vibe that many mom'n'pop businesses have - nothing in it is modern, updated or "fashionable." However, it's clean, with super friendly service and very reasonable prices. I first came to Angie's attending an Eat Local dinner to benefit the Black Rock Grassroots garden (at Dearborn & Hamilton). It was EXCELLENT - they started us with a fresh-veggie heavy house salad, finger foods and coffee for those who wanted it. Then the hot buffet was put out - the house-made salisbury steak with mushroom gravy was TO DIE FOR; moist baked chicken, stuffing, ziti with delicious sauce that was just the right sweetness and thickness, a seasoned vegetable medley and pineapple upside down cupcakes for dessert rounded out the meal. I was absolutely shocked at how fresh and down-home all the food was, so I came back again with a mate for breakfast. For a measly $7 I got a huge glass of chocolate milk, two GIANT pieces of kielbasa (I swear, like 7 inches long each...no phallic jokes folks), eggs, and a stack of wheat toast. My bf got a grilled cheese and this amazing house-made chicken and gnocchi soup that was on the specials board for around $5-6 total. The soup was so good I got a bowl to go after tasting his and later in the day savored every mouthful. I can't wait to go back, but shhh, don't tell my favorite diner, Emily's, I'm cheating on them. They do take reservations for special events - like their occasional brunch buffets or holiday dinners - but I'm unsure if they do it all the time. Cash only. I'd also like to add the manager, Mary Ann, donated baked goods and a gift certificate to Believe in Black Rock's bake sale without hesitation. They are always quick to get involved with neighborhood events.

Continuing the search for decent Buffalo pizza, we decided to give Angie's a shot. It is definitely decent. Or at least better then some of the balls of dough that Buffalo tried to pass off as pizza. (I'll just add a note here letting all native Buffalonians know that I am speaking just for myself... the other member of my household appreciates a think, doughy crust, bland sauce, and more cheese then a daytime soap opera). You want the review... We ordered a cheese, pepperoni and hot pepper pizza... the dough was thinnish, but so uniform in thickness, it struck me as not homemade. The sauce was super sweet. Not bad, just sweeter then I would like. There was a thin layer of cheese and a normal amount of pepperoni and hot banana peppers. Angie's being a small, family owned place, we will probably try again... As a side note, I heard that they have really good eggplant parmesan, but it wasn't listed on the take out menu... maybe it is a special? I think the sauce would be much better on eggplant...
