This was such a great event! I am so impressed with what The Lunch Box offers and how much they have accomplished! I fully intend to make my way back during the day to try some of the food. The samplings that we were offered were so good! My friend and I tried as much as we could and we were so happy to have been able to attend!

This was a very nice event! It was interesting to hear about the background from the owner of The Lunchbox. It was also interactive because yelp elite members had the opportunity to learn how to bake focaccia bread. And the food was delicious! They served a huge spread of food, including desserts from Lola's. I tried a little bit of everything and it was just so good. We also got to choose one drink, from a local brewery or winery. We were happy to be there for this event.

So I was an hour late. I was asleep. I jumped up and went to the venue. Just to get straight to the food I didn't like focaccia bread because the pieces I tasted were drenched in oil and that's all I tasted. I did have a piece with salt but the oil over powered the salt. Other people had pieces with salt and rosemary and really enjoyed it. There were mini tarts with blue cheese and fig and what tasted like balsamic vinaigrette I loved it, the quinoa salad I loved it, there was a bread with mozzarella and balsamic and other stuff I loved that, the burger was cooked very well I liked that. I tasted what looked like a lucky charms rice crispy treat with peanut butter drizzle that was delicious. This is just an account of what I actually tasted.

This is one of those places where the name matches the space. That was quite impressive to me. We were treated to a beverage of choice and then either led into the bakery or those who wanted to chill watched a focaccia bread making demonstration. I loved that there was good participation! We were also given a history lesson on how this place came to be-nice touch as it develops our buy in! The place is super clean! The food...everything paired well together and tastes so delicious and fresh. I went back for breakfast two days later.

Such a great event! We had a blast at the lunchbox and I loved learning about the business and the behind the scenes. Making bread (crazy delicious) was super fun and trying all the other tasty goodies was great too! It was great to hear about the business success and I look forward to stopping by for lunch at one of their locations soon. The bakery stuff was just awesome and I'm a big sucker for cookies so they have my attention for sure! Thanks to Brandon for another great event and to the lunch box for hosting us!

We had a great time at this event! It was cool seeing how the focaccia is made for Lola's bake shop first hand. The concept of baking fresh bread and baked goods for the lunch box I thought was great. Everything I tried was top notch. The chicken Milanese sandwich was my personal favorite. I loved how crispy the chicken was and paired with the fluffy focaccia bread. The peanut butter cookie was also incredible; perfect amount of peanut butter!

My friend Erin and I enjoyed a lovely night checking out the new Lunch Box location, with Lola's Bakery. I had only had catering from them prior, so was excited to see their storefront. It is a modern, open seating area with the option of tables, couches, and a bar area overlooking the kitchen. It's sweetly painted and decorated to feel very welcoming and homey. We were shown how to make focaccia bread (which I can't wait to try at home now!) and treated to an array of appetizers, sandwiches, and dessert. I especially loved the rainbow Rice Krispie type dessert and can't wait to go back for more! I didn't realize this was a family run business, and value it even more knowing that they aim to work around their kids schedules and make it a priority for their staff to be able to do the same. A wonderful contribution to buffalo

Started off with a hands on focaccia demo (class?) and then this beautiful spread of sandwiches and dessert were served to us! They had a beautiful bar area, open space and cute decorations throughout the venue. The freshly baked focaccia was AMAZING texture wise (the salt was FRESH but a bit too much ahaha). The cupcakes were not too sweet (the ultimate compliment) and the selection of desserts were impressive. They provided abundant food with lots of take home leftovers! Would definitely come back here for a casual study time.

Another excellent Yelp Elite event put on by Brandon!! The whole evening was fun, interactive, educational, and a nice time to get out and socialize with fellow Elites in Buffalo before the holiday rush cranks up. The evening started with Ben, one of the owners of The Lunch Box, welcoming us and telling the story of how The Lunch Box, and eventually Lola's Bakeshop, came to be. I really appreciate this as it makes the event way more personal and I do enjoy a good origin story. haha Afterwards, Ben led us into their full, brand new kitchen and guided myself and two other Elites on how to make focaccia - This was an amazing experience. After that, we were able to sample a wide range of their sandwiches and baked goods. The standouts for me were the Chicken Milanese sandwich and those homemade chocolate peppermint cookies. When Ben spoke about each of the items and how everything is cooked/made to order, I really felt the passion he has for what he does. After about 30 minutes, the focaccia I helped make was ready so I got to pull it out of the oven and Ben sliced it up for all of the Elites to try. That was the first time I had ever had focaccia and wow; I can't believe it took me this long! Another nice gesture was Ben sent us home with sandwiches, baked goods, focaccia, which did NOT go to waste in my house! haha What a great time this was though! If I were working downtown Buffalo, I would put this on my list of places to get breakfast, lunch, a sweet morning pick-me-up with one of their homemade, fresh scones. I cannot wait to try their breakfast sandwich and one of their scones soon. Thanks again to Brandon for organizing this event and thanks to Ben for being so welcoming and accommodating!

I had an amazing time at this event. I love how friendly and inclusive the owner was in showing and explaining everything. Interactive sessions are always better than the regular ones and this event did not disappoint with the awesome focaccia bread demonstration. It was great to see fellow yelpers jumping right in to participate. The wine was great, the food was great, the company was great. I would love to go back to this place if I'm in the area and grab their good veggie offerings. I hope we have more events like this in the future!

Thank you to our CM Brandon and owner of the Lunch Box Ben for holding this great event! We were offered a generous sampling of their menu AND a complimentary beverage to boot! I went with a nice glass of Pinot noir. The burger was very tasty and even though my picky boyfriend scraped off the tomato jam he said he enjoyed the residual flavor of it. The chicken Milanese on focaccia was delicious and filling. Due to food allergies I couldn't try a few items. I will say that although apprehensive about the quinoa cup I had to try it after my friend said how fresh and delicious it was. I am glad I did because it was so good! As I'm trying to eat better I limited myself to only the one mint chocolate cookie, but it was yummy too. The boyfriend enjoyed the cinnamon roll, mini cupcake and some cookies. I can't wait to tell my coworkers about this place and order out someday! We peeked at some premade salads in the cooler that looked great! Thanks again for having us. The real treat was that sample of freshly baked focaccia at the end! Delish!

Thank you Brandon for organizing such a fun event, and Ben for hosting us! The event was full of friendly faces, fun, and so much flavor! Although I've been to the Lunchbox before, coming after hours was a new experience and a great time! Ben took us into the bakery to make focaccia, then we got to sample a variety of tasty sandwiches, baked goods, and finger foods! There was also beer and wine including some NY-made options! All in all a great time, and definitely one of the best Yelp events I've been to all year!

Thank you to the owners of The Lunchbox / Lola's Bakery and Yelp Buffalo for hosting this wonderful event! The event started off with an intro from the owner and more about this adorable cafe and space. The restaurant is very spacious and newly remodeled with a welcoming feel. We were treated to a drink and a variety of dessert and snacks. My favorite were the chicken Milanese on focaccia bread which is made in house and the cinnamon rolls. We even got to see a demonstration on the focaccia-making process! Overall this was a wonderful welcoming event on a chilly Buffalo evening and I can't wait to come back to try the cafe during regular business hours!

A super nice evening trying out different food at the Lunch Box / Lola's Bakery at 465 Main St, Buffalo. All food is delicious! The space is nice with tall ceilings, simple decor, nice and clean. We tasted many different things from appetizers/ finger food to sandwiches and desserts. They also do catering. I had their catered food before, very good and nicely arranged. The owner even did a demo of focaccia bread making. We got to taste the result!
