One of my favorite places in Buffalo. Their martinis and old fashions are a classic but somehow they manage to make them better. The ambience is great, we always have a good time whether it's sitting by the bar or getting a table for bigger groups.The bar tenders and servers are so friendly and really know the menu and know what to recommend. It is literally a great, upscale, delicious menu, 800+ bottles of whiskey dinner and bar spot. Lovely staff and helpful w allergy questions and awesome cocktails. fantastic. the happy hour deals are outrageous. a $7 manhattan as good as any $15 one you've had. the staff is also super friendly, chatty, and approachable. with a place like this you kinda worry about pretentiousness or gatekeepers. simply not what's going on here. ask all the stupid questions you want. the staff are knowledgeable and actually seem to enjoy educating/discussing whiskey, etc. will absolutely be back.

I expected a nice, quiet, elegant whisky bar. That's not what I got. When my wife and I walked in, the very first thing I asked the hostess was "is it always this loud?" She said yes. It was nightclub loud. That's not when I interpreted from their website. I did not expect a nightclub type restaurant at all. I expected an elegant restaurant atmosphere where I can actually speak to the person across a table from me. I was early for my reservation so I waited and looked for somewhere else to eat. I ended up walking to a different restaurant. I refuse to pay those elevated prices for a nightclub loud setting. That's not what I signed up for. I will definitely never be back. What a disappointment. It's too bad that what should be an elegant whisky bar attracts the loud type of customer and loud music.

The atmosphere is a bit too dark for me. To an extent, the light on my iphone needs to be on to read the menu lol. You can probably notice how dark it is in the restaurant by looking at those food pics i took.The environment is on the noisy and loud side, probably because the restaurant was packed!!The food is really nice. Love the shrimp cocktail, which serves quite differently; the wedge salad and the steak!!

For being an advid fan of all kinds of crab, I was excited to get the king crab. I was truly disappointed..they were chewey. Seemed boiled, not steamed.. def straight from being frozen (as I am a cook myself and know how to prepare them), didnt taste good. Our server was nice, but sidnt even check to see how anything was.and the only time she came propmtly was when it was time to pay. For getting one of the most expensive things on the menu, it wasnt good at all.
