Last minute decision to have an early dinner friday fish fry. I should have turned around at the door when the smell of fish hit me walking in. But I thought it was a Friday during lent so they probably have a ton of fish stocked. Sat in a booth. Forgot since the last time how uncomfortable they are. Wooden hard benches too far from the table. Wait staff was fine. Polite. Older gentlemen stopped by to say hello and when we asked if he was Mike or Pop he said "both!". Uhm, ok. Awkward conversation. Fish fry looked enormous. Giant Flintstone portion of fish covering the plate and on top of the obviously frozen restaurant supply fries. Fries that were dry, unseasoned, and room temperature. Greasy beer battered style undercooked. The batter was pasty on the inside. When I moved it from the fries there was a pool of grease. My guess was the fryer wasn't hot enough but that's just a guess. It wasn't horrible but it wasn't great. When the staff asked how it was I shrugged and said "fine I guess" and she was gone before I finished the word "fine" I'll go elsewhere from now on

The wings are fantastic... keeping the tradition of Buffalo bars supplying the best wing experiences in the city!...ill be back for more for sure I had medium and cajun bbq, the house salad and balsamic vinaigrette were great

Holy. Smokes. I was craving corned beef since tomorrow is St. Pat's Day so I ordered a Reuben to go. It was ready on time, I was greeted promptly by a very nice staff member, and it was the BEST Reuben I have ever eaten. It's piled so high with meat, cheese, and sauerkraut I could barely finish it. So good!

Local watering hole with family feel and seems to be a favorite for happy hour. Walked in and sat at the bar. I was met by the bartender, Mike, an older gentleman who was friendly and kind. Ordered wings and caprese dip as well as a few beers. While there, I was acutely aware of how many people that walked into that establishment knew the staff by name. The wings were classic style and good flavor. Not dry either. And the caprese dip was by far my favorite! Soooo good! Bar got very busy once happy hour hit. If I lived closer, I could see myself visiting this place frequently.

Took my husband and grandchildren to dinner for his birthday. Brad was our server. He was excellent. Food was amazing and the chocolate cake was out of this world. Our new favorite spot. So highly recommended. Ask for Brad as your server. Super service!Kid-friendliness: Good kid menu. Plenty of options.
Unfortunately I knew it would be downhill as soon as Pop walked out the door at 5:00 PM. I know Fridays are busy and I went into the restaurant expecting this.When we got there, I placed my name on the reservation list with 4 adults and 3 children. I figured it would be a long wait but what happened over the course of the next 45 mins was sad and telling.After the first few tables were seated in 20 minutes, I asked the host what the wait would be. I received a response of, “I don’t like to give wait times as I don’t want to disappoint customers.” Ok sure, I get it I guess. I then asked him if we could take a table that was ready to seat us (was ready when we walked in) and was told it was reserved for a part of 8. Ok, that’s fine, I get it.Fast forward 20 mins later and the bar back comes up to my party and tells me you are next and I am cleaning your table now. He comes back 2 mins later and says your table is ready, you have 4 right? I say no, we have 4 adults and three kids and he says oh, ok, let me check and I’ll come back and let you know. 15 mins later he still hasn’t come back. Someone from my party confronts the gentlemen and he says, I never said that. She the asked the host and he is confused and says we don’t have a table ready for you, I don’t know why he said that. Meanwhile, the table of 8 is still vacant 50 mins since we placed our name on the list. Also, the other two tables capable of seating 8 people are occupied with 3 and 4 people respectively.Im very saddened to leave this review as we love Mike and Pops and enjoy going there. But the level of customer service tonight was worse than one would get at McDonald’s. And to top it off, the bartender was very unfriendly and could not be bothered to serve us until repeatedly asking for service. He was busy but his attitude was poor. Very sad as the fish fry’s looked amazing tonight.

So I posted a review on here exactly one week ago and it wasn't good so the restaurant took it down. They only leave good reviews on here. So here, I'll post it again. I paid $21.65 for a fish fry and got one tablespoon of macaroni salad, and one tablespoon of coleslaw as my sides and then as a substitute, they thought it would be a good idea to give me bleu cheese instead of tarter sauce. Go to tops or anywhere else for a fish fry! I highly DONT recommend this place. And I screen shot this so I can keep posting it when they take it down

Amazing experience! The food and service are excellent. Lots of seats and tvs so you won't miss any games. The stuffed mushrooms are delicious! Club sandwich is huge and tasty. Our server checked in us constantly and was friendly and accommodating. Free parking is nice as well. Highly recommend this place!

I ordered my first fish fry of the year from here and can say I'll never come back. I paid $20.65 for a filet of fish which was actually good. But they gave me a table spoon worth of macaroni salad, 2 tablespoons of coleslaw, and instead of tarter sauce they gave me bleu cheese. So the cook, is either, drunk, angry, or doesn't know what they're doing. I won't be back
The staff was very friendly. Im sorry, but the food was not the greatest. Don't think i will be frequenting there again.

I got the blackened fish fry. It was heavily seasoned but not in a way that was overpowering or made me want to guzzle water. It was one of the best fish fries I’ve ever had. It came with a generous serving of fish, along with three sides and soup/salad as well. Left comfortably full. Caesar salad dressing tasted homemade and I regret not asking if they bottled it for purchase. Had a spoonful of someone’s French onion soup and the broth was very robust and delicious. There were some rambunctious kids next to us but that was nobody’s fault. Good form of contraception though. Would come again the next time I’m in town.

We had a Guiness and Labatts draft waiting for our table. Both tasted weird and were flat. I think they need to clean the lines. Very long wait for a table. The french onion soup looked much better than it tasted. Nice and hot, browned cheese on top, thick but my goodness it was so sweet. I think it might have been the bread they used in it. Had Reubens and upgraded from chips to fries. Very small portion of fries. They were greasy. The Reuben was on delicious bread and grilled nicely. The corned beef had zero flavor. All in all a disappointing meal. We won’t be back
