My fiancé walked in to ask for change for a $100 bill and the man proceeded to tell him that his bill was not real and looked fake even though he just got it from the bank. The man proceeded to mark the bill with a counterfeit marker trying to say that it was fake.

So-Holy Cow has much changed since my last visit here, last time I was here for Local Restaurant Week when this was one of Downtown's most hustling and Bustling Burger Joints. That was 7 years ago, now all this time Later I come back to the same spot with the same Settings inside and Amazing Upper Deck where you go and get your Social On. My Grandma's sister Suzy was visiting up from Florida, I thought to myself where should we take her that has Great Food, Excellent Service and that would not Disappoint. This was one of those last minute arrangements that I whipped up at the top of my Head. We arrived 10 Minutes before our Reservation and were seated in the outside Patio area (which I'm glad had Bars because some Panhandlers were bugging us during our Meal). Once Ricky arrived we were greeted by one of the Owners, James Manno and were told of some of the Specials. We were in for a treat as none other than one of Buffalo's Best Chefs (JJ Richert) was in charge in the Kitchen that Night. Seeing as how I knew him and his Brother when they were working at Smoke on the Water in Tonawanda, my Table got a few Complimentary Appetizers. What better to start this Meal off than with Bacon wrapped Pierogies that were jam packed with Creamy Potatoes and Cheese. It was even more surprising a few minutes later when our server brought over a big stack of Housemade Chips & Dip. Crispy and wafer thing with Smooth Onion Dip that was so addicting that I was thinking of licking the Cup once it was almost Empty. We sipped on some Drinks, Grandma got a White Sangria (even though it was Pink). Me and Suzy got a Cocktail called Orange Bubbles with Orange Vodka, Blood Orange Puree and Chandon Garden Spritz. Now to move on to the Appetizers that we had to pay for which were Chicken Ginger Lemongrass Potstickers with a Soy Vinegar Dipping Sauce, also Lamb Merguez Sausage Meatballs with Chimichurri Red Pepper Sauce and Plantain Chips. The Potstickers were by far one of the best things that I ate as they were both Crispy outside and Tender Inside, pop one in your Mouth and you won't be able to stop. The Meatballs were fall apart Tender, the Chips gave it some Texture, Sauce had a rich Smoky Flavor but it was missing the Chimichurri Sauce. Then Rick ordered the Tacos of the Day, Chicken Chipotle and Ginger Cherry Braised Pork Belly that was topped with a Cucumber-Radish Slaw. Rick said that the Tacos were very filling and they were as they came with Jurassic sized pieces that looked like they couldn't even fit on the Tortilla. Even after all that Rick still got himself an Entree. It was Seared Salmon that was encrusted with Ginger Snap Cookies and glazed with Blue Hog Barbecue Sauce over Sweet Potato and Pumpkin Gnocchi, Granny Smith Apples, Fresh Cranberries and Maple Syrup Cream. It sounded like a Mouthful, and it was a lot of Sweetness going on in 1 Dish. Great Minds think alike for both grandma and Suzy as they got the same Entree. Coconut and Cashew crusted Chicken over Parisian Saffron Risotto with Scallions, Pomegranate Seeds and Wildflower Honey. One of the most Colorful dishes that I've ever Seen, Chicken has such a crispy Crust, Risotto was Creamy and Pomegranate Seeds made it look more Eye popping. I went down the Adventurous route and got the Sesame crusted Ahi Tuna with Duck Egg Fried Rice. Tuna was perfectly rare, pink and glistening that could be spiced up with some of the small dollops of Sriracha on the Side. Mixed Vegetables tossed with Brown Rice on the Plancha to gain a brown Crust, they even elevated it a bit by adding Duck Egg Yolks to give it a Richer Taste. To finish off the Meal, I got one of the most their simplest desserts, Vanilla Gelato. It was presented to me in a Martini Glass with Caramel, Chocolate Sauce, Whipped Cream and a Cherry. It was the lightest, smoothest and creamiest Gelato that I've ever tasted. From start to Finish the Service and the Food was spot on, what made it even better was when JJ himself came out to our Table and I thanked him for Everything. After this

Me and my friend went to the bathroom, it took us abt 5 minutes (sue me I had buttons instead of a zipper on my jeans so it took a min) and instead of one of the bouncers telling us to hurry up he pulled himself on top of the front of the stall door and looked in on us. I’ve never felt so violated at a bar and wish I would’ve decked him in the face. They kicked us out after I tried complaining to them that a man shouldn’t look over the door in a women’s bathroom and just told me that we took too long and they’d tell him not to do that again. F that it’s peeping Tom behavior thank god both of us were just abt to leave and had our pants up. Never coming back, don’t feel safe there after this
