This was my first time at the Yemen star and trying Yemen food! And boy am I glad I did! I am not a person that likes spicy food so The staff recommended the grilled chicken and my husband who eats anything said you choose for me and he had beef kelabah with hummus and both were amazing. The flatbread hot and flavorful and the hummus very tasty! One of the chefs came out and took very good care of us and we will definitely be back! It was our 18th anniversary and traveled from Jamestown, New York on a recommendation and are very glad we did. Thank you, Yemen star

Today I ordered some food from this restaurant whole grill chicken with rice I ordered extra some rice $5 they send me very small like for a kid . And they did not give me salat with this food they only gave me two small source also I ordered two more extra sauce . This is not good for business , they do business like this. How are you doing business with such care?

Wow. This felt like I was in my Gida’s kitchen. Phenomenal, don’t tell G but this aseed was better than hers. Everything from the beef, tuna & lamb was so tender and delicious. 10/10. Honestly phenomenal. The hilba for the aseed was some of the best.
This restaurant blew me away, the taste quality of the food is insanely good. That chicken mandy and meat (lahma) were extremely soft and juicy. The Fahsa with lahma was very flavorful. And the best part of all is the customer service by the workers, who showed the highest level of respect to me and my family when we ate there.

I was here with a friend we drove from ontario. Came here for yemeni food. Authentic yemeni food, great quantity. Fresh food and great taste. Nothing beats arab hospitality. Thanks you guys!!. Half grilled chicken was great.

I visited in the summer, had a great experience, wrote a review, but it never appeared. So, yes, the neighborhood may not be where a lot of folks would go, but I encourage you to go! If you're uncertain, go during daylight. I was there at dusk, no concerns. The service was terrific: friendly, helpful, gave me a bowl of lamb broth while I waited for my to-go order. I don't remember the name of the dish we ordered, but it was lamb and rice, wonderfully seasoned with unknown-to-me spices...just what we were looking for! Accompanied by their wonderful, slightly charred, absolutely freshly made (while you're waiting) flat bread. (Planning a return trip, wondered what other Yelpers might have experienced, which is when i noticed my review had not posted.)
