We stopped here right before leaving the Catskills and I wish we would have stopped sooner! Staff was very friendly, it's very cute inside, plenty of space to sit if you want. The coffee was very good and we had the ham and cheese croissant along with the French toast cruffin, which was delicious!
I adore Red Star! The baked goods are EXTRAORDINARY, and the coffee is too! The staff is so so friendly. The cafe is homey and also has an extremely cool interior (the octopus! The actual TREES inside!). Cannot say enough good things; Red Star is perfection.Kid-friendliness: Magna tiles to play with! Our 4-year-old loves it. And he loves the madeleines …

We stopped by this cool little cafe in Cairo on our way back home to NYC after a quick weekend in Windham. The people who work there are so warm and friendly.We ended up getting an iced latte and some of their delicious pastries, the chocolate croissant, ham and cheese croissant, and a pack of their salted chocolate chip cookies.They were kind enough to include a small madeleine on top of my latte.
