“After my aunt's funeral service ended at 10:45 am yesterday, I called Brasserie Creole to see if they were open to service my family and I, a total of 20 people. Unfortunately, takeout was available only. However, the lady who answered the phone was very pleasant and told me it was ok and Brasserie Creole will accommodate my family and I. When we arrived, we walked through the takeout section and into the restaurant. The same lady who answered the phone was the one who greeted us with a bright smile and positive energy. She setup the table for 20 people and it was lovely. She took our order and she did not take long bringing our hot food. We were served a variety of delicious Haitian food which also included the Haitian Macaroni and the famous pickles. They had music in the background that was appropriate for the occasion as well. Another waiter came to assist. We felt special being the only people at the restaurant and we were treated very well. The staff had a welcoming personality and they were professional. I was grateful to everyone who made sure we had good food and drinks to comfort us as we were remembering my beloved aunt.“
“Cap't Lou is my favorite neighborhood restaurant. Great food, crowd and ambiance. The owner, Raymond is such a humble and generous host with a welcoming smile. If you haven't tried the food, I highly recommend doing so...you'd love it!! ?“
“our family was there on 5 March. we had the party room. the place is very pleasant. However, the food and especially the service was outstanding. the two young people who waited on us were beyond reproach. Thanks you Voodoo Crab!Parking: there is street parking available, and there is a municipal lot behind the property.Kid-friendliness: my daughter had a Shiley Temple in the same pouch the grown ups had their drinks. she really enjoyed that small detail.“
“My recent experience was exceptional, thanks to the outstanding service provided by Daria. From her warm greetings to her attentive care throughout the meal, every interaction was a testament to her professionalism and dedication. Highly recommended for both delicious food and impeccable service.“
“My family went this past weekend to celebrate my father's birthday and it was a wonderful time. The hibachi chef was hilarious and provided wonderful entertainment, we will definitely be recommending this place to others and come back ourselves too.“
“Really attentive service. Always checking up on you. The seafood boil was very tasty for 3 lbs with 2 side and extra order of sausage came out to $70. Really good deal. Only complain the music. Same reggaeton on repeat. But definitely will “
“My wife presented me with a video of this quaint establishment on social media, inspiring our decision to enjoy a romantic evening at this secluded yet charming restaurant. Upon entering, we were immediately greeted by the attentive staff, who exhibited genuine warmth and hospitality. Our server was exceptionally attentive and knowledgeable, ensuring an enjoyable dining experience. The culinary creations were delectable, and the overall ambiance transported us to the heart of Louisiana. I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment if you are seeking a Louisiana-inspired culinary experience.“
“Great taste of home for this New Orleans transplant. The crawfish etouffee and gumbo are delicious. The bread pudding is yummy too. There is a well stocked market adjacent to the ordering counter that has many basic groceries as well as prepared foods and regional specialties. Looking forward to trying more of their extensive menu.“
“I loved everything about this place ❤️. First of all as soon as you open the door you get slapped respectfully with the scent of good food and the ambience is immaculate. Very posh and picturesque.Parking: If you are lucky you'll get a parking spot right in front of the restaurant but you have to pay the meter.Kid-friendliness: DefinitelyWheelchair accessibility: Yes“
“Ordered from this place for the 1st time and eventhough i only live about 10 minutes away it took the uber driver 23 minutes to get the order to me..... even with that being said, the food came hot and it was delicious. The only thing i wish is that they would supply the utensils needed to crack open the crabs but if you have some industrial scissors and a good hammer and forks you can make it work. I would absolutely recommend this place even for ordering if you live near by it is worth it. next time i want a seafood boil i will go to this location in person to be able to experience the restaurant itself, the staff, and the service.“
“The place opens at 1:00 pm every day. We went on a Wednesday for lunch. We did all you can eat (AYCE). I calculated the cost of what we wanted to try and the AYCE. It was cheaper to go with AYCE. It was $25 per person which I found reasonable. They offered fried items and boiled items. We had the fried oysters, shrimp, calamari, soft shell crab, crab ball, flounder, and onion rings. The seafood was on the small side but it was off season so I expected it. The crab ball was dry. The oysters were slightly salty but not too bad. Overall it was good. It was cooked just right and it was crispy. It came out nice and hot and quickly. The wait staff was attentive but not annoying. The decor was cute. I will go back when seafood is in season to see if they are bigger.Parking: Strip Mall ParkingWheelchair accessibility: Very accessible with plenty of maneuvering room.“
“Love the Food & the person who Takes the orders is Pleasant, I live on Gunhill& been here a few times just for the food.. I had ~ Wings,General Tso chicken ,fried pork Dumplings ,egg fried rice in all the orders. EVERYTHING WAS GOOD!! I will return for sure.Parking: There’s a parking lot front in front. Also street parkingKid-friendliness: There’s space to sit & eatWheelchair accessibility: No steps. Which is great!“
“202403xx::OH NO!!! all u can eat(AYCE)is $45 now. i got the flounder and rings, calamari, and i was getting full. so getting the $29.99 AYCE was not worth it. the calamari was actually softer than almost all the greek restaurant calamari.“
“Really great place. Found this place when looking for a late night place to eat as we were picking someone up from JFK, and we are from out of town. The website said open to 4am. We made a reservation for 11 and were told the kitchen closes at midnight. We were running late they called us and let us get there at 11:40. They're was 12 of us! Great food, and friendly even though they were closing. Would definitely come back if in the area. The entire party enjoyed. Special shoutout to Eleanor, she was amazing“
“I ate here recently with my family because we really wanted seafood. So the pluses are that it’s a large restaurant with easy parking, lots of seating and great customer service. The food was delicious but the only reason for four vs five stars is the quantity. The portions could have been a bit bigger, but overall an excellent restaurant.“
“Outstanding experience, I would give more than 5 stars ? , everybody goes above and beyond in everything they do, I want to give a special thanks to Herman, Pen, Henry and Ardy for their excellent service. They're always welcoming and treat everyone like family!“
“The location is a gold mind being that its so close to the colleges in the area, easy parking, atmosphere was good, vibe was mellow and quiet, food was A-mazing they a great drinking selection. They also handed me a complimentary drink after all that eating and spending lol and I appreciated that. Come and check it out and enjoy the savory food and ambiance✌?.“
“Four years since my last review/experience with this establishment and it's still amazing! From the food, to the service and ambiance. This isn't a seafood boil that is oily, greasy and flavorless. This seafood boil packs a punch of flavors, it's so delicious and for the month of December they're offering buy 1, get 1 snow crab legs and king crab legs. That is AMAZING! Literally 2lbs of seafood for the price of one. I tried their pomegranate martini, highly recommend. It was a creeper. The peach lemonade with vodka is also very delicious, you'd think it's lemonade with no alcohol but it has plenty. Haha, thank you to my server who played magical tricks and really was a pleasure to be around, he was super nice, funny and helpful. Ben's crab thank you for another great experience after so long, happy you did not go downhill as an establishment. I will be back and it won't take so long!!“
“I've done take out many time, usually the boil bags and fried rice here and always good. However, came twice on a Saturday to dine in with family and couldn't hear ourselves over the music. We left both times because it was impossible to hear the person next to you or even speak your order to the waitress, my son was really uncomfortable and crying. Music was on point don't get me wrong but didn't need to be blasting like it was a club, we should be able to have family meals there and be able to hear eachother speak. Hopefully soon it's rectified so we can finally dine in.“
