“This is my husband and I'm little go to for a little bite to eat. We enjoy the live bands. The food is always good. Love cheese curd with raspberry sauce or the fried pickles. Drinks are flowing, and staff is friendly. Never super crowded when we visit which is a bonus for us.Parking: Street parking or across the street is a free lot“

Wicked Wench Bar •
2, 16 1/2 Bridge St, Carthage

“I love this bar! It's small, but the company is fantastic. Tammy the owner always always takes care of her customers. Yes, it's a "everyone knows everyone" place but everyone is friendly this is a small town with some of the most pleasant people. Highly recommended. Kait is one of the other bar tenders she is fast and has a friendly smile she welcomes anyone that walks in the door with a hey hi, how are you. Truly felt like I was around family.“

Zero Dock Street Restaurant & Bar American • $$
130 Canal St, Carthage

“My friend and I were in Carthage on business and decided to stop for a bite at Zero Dock Street. We’d heard good things about it.The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. We were greeted and seated right away. Larkin was our super-friendly server. We wanted to get the duck bacon wontons for an app. “Don’t hate me, but we’re out of those today,” she said. We wound up ordering the boneless chicken wings with mild sauce to split. It’s a good thing we decided to split them, because the portion was huge, like 13 pieces! We couldn’t finish them. They were delicious! The sauce had a tangy little kick to it. For my entree, I chose the broiled haddock with tots. There were a LOT of tots. Again, I couldn’t finish them all. My friend ordered the buffalo chicken mac and cheese bowl. Again, the portion was quite large. It was a very tasty dish; he said that the buffalo sauce from the chicken infused the pasta.Props to our server, Larkin, who was working the entire floor alone. We had leftovers to take home, always a good thing. We will probably go back, if only to try those elusive duck bacon wontons!“
