Stopped in today for our first visit to Carmelita's. Super welcoming Host. We were seated immediately. Waitress was very friendly and attentive. The restaurant smelled AMAZING so I had a feeling we had made the right choice stopping here. We decided on their flight of 3 nachos for our App. One was ground beef, shredded chicken and refried beans. All were covered in perfectly melted cheese on fresh made tortilla chips. All of them were very good but the shredded chicken nachos were the star. Excellent. I chose the 3 Enchiladas meal (no beans). I had a ground beef, steak (extra $2.00) and their chicken. All 3 were excellent. They were roped with their red sauce. The onions inside all were diced perfectly and the entire meal was superbly seasoned. Not overboard on seasoning and just "delicious". All the food was made as ordered and not "assembly line" style. Pricing was fair for what we received and especially for how it tasted. Definitely will be back in the future.

After living in Az for over 25 years, returning to the Syracuse area was difficult to find authentic Mexican food. Found it, finally. Delicious!We will be back.
The service was good. Everyone was friendly but we were missing some items when our food arrived.The food was not good. I hate to say that because the people are so nice. The food was so bland and not anything like Mexican food. It really tasted like nothing except for the queso, which was loaded with garlic and confusing. It was also chunky. I am pretty sure the tortilla chips are made with flour tortillas and not corn tortillas which is unusual. The steak tacos were made with chuck roast or something. They were supposed to be “shredded steak” which is also confusing. Regardless, the tacos were not good.

First time here, and we can't wait to go back. The food was so fresh. It was Wednesday, $2 taco night. We also shared a margaritas flight. So,so good! Do not hesitate to stop and check this place out. The service was absolutely top-notch. We had our 2-year-old with us, and they were more than accommodating. The owner stopped by our table, which was a very nice surprise. We had a wonderful conversation.Kid-friendliness: Our 2-year-old was treated so nice. The waitress was so helpful.

I ordered the nacho flight, enchiladas with salsa verde, and horchata, all of which were tasty!But the standout for me was the incredible customer service. Everyone was kind, hospitable, and on top of things. They made my group feel very welcome despite being out-of-towners! I'd love to visit again and try other dishes!

I read the mix reviews, but still wanted to give it a try. I'm glad I did. I ordered the BYOB burrito which was enormus! Chili verde sauce covered. I enjoyed it very much. And to make it even better, they offer military discount (10%) I added the picture of the festival of the day decor. Iliked it. Give it a try, you just might like it!
