My wife and I live near the Alden location and occasionally venture out to clarence location. The food at each location is phenomenal. The soulvaki is by far the best in WNY ( no exaggeration), the Greek fries couldn’t be better and the baklava is killer. I’ve recently tried the fish fry and it’s delicious. The owners/workers are very kind and always personable. We love coming here for food (and so does my 15 month old)… needless to say we come here a lot and will continue to. Certainly there is a reason for all the positive 5 star reviews. Here’s to another!
I ordered take out for the chicken souvlaki dinner. The salad had a ton of tomatoes, onions and black olives (2 peppers) It was definitely from a bag as cabbage was in it. It was rather bland. I was given a small dressing and small tzatziki (those were good but def not enough to cover the salad.) The chicken was so finely chopped up you barely could taste it. It had one pita that was grilled.For the price and taste there are better restaurants for this. The Greek potatoes were good and tasty. The rice pudding was nothing great it was rather bland and thick like paste. I eat Greek food all the time and this place wasn’t good.

So I had an inkling to get some souvlaki and checked the Yelp app to see what was close by. I saw the name and remembered hearing good things about Nana's. I ordered a chicken souvlaki, and my husband ordered a fish fry. His fish fry looked pretty good. The souvlaki was very good! They certainly didn't skimp on any of the ingredients, including the chicken. I appreciated the fact that the chicken was cut in smaller pieces. It's much easier to eat. I found it interesting that the fish fry came with a buttery garlic naan, and mine came with plain naan. Next time, I'll request the garlic. The fries were average. Overall, it was a very good meal with enough leftover for lunch the next day. 2024- 4
