So wonderful. We’re still talking about it a day later. This restaurant had us at tamarind with eggplant and chickpeas. Also cheers for the chili chickpea Bahjia. Other items kept our smiles going. Pleasant service. It is the only place we would go if we were in the area again. Can you hear our applause to the chef and cooks?!

The service is absolutely horrendous. Waited 20+ mins for them to take my order with only 1 other occupied table. Kinda a ridiculous situation.

Great food and atmosphere. Unfortunately the busser took our rice that we would have loved to take home.

Stopped on our way to see the eclipse. One of the best Indian restaurants I've been to. The south Indian food is distinctive with different spices and they have the more common Indian food. Definitely will return when in the area.

We had a wonderful buffet. The food was very tastey. I was so happy to see golob on the desert area. The place is so clean and the people were very friendly. We will be back!

We came for lunch. They had a great buffet spread. Excellent food. Wide range from South Indian to North Indian varieties. Their sweets and coffee was also delicious! We will certainly come back.

Always great dining at Spice Malabar! The bhagari shrimp are so tasty and come with little fried poori. I wish they were closer to my home, I'd be there even more. ❤️Wheelchair accessibility: Excellent accessibility for wheelchairs.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐As a former Albany resident turned out-of-state visitor, stumbling upon this Indian restaurant for their lunch buffet was an absolute delight!Entering for the lunch buffet, I savored a wide array of vegan, chicken, lamb, goat, and seafood dishes, each capturing the authentic flavors of India. Venturing beyond the buffet, I explored their dinner menu and indulged in entrees like Fish in Banana Leaf, Shrimp Mango Curry, and Masala Dosa, each a culinary adventure in itself. The authentic chai, mango lassi, and tamarind drink perfectly complemented the meal. Let's not forget the desserts—gulab jamun, carrot halwa, and keer (rice pudding)—sealed the experience with sweetness. The impeccable service and warm ambiance made the experience truly memorable. Whether you're a seasoned connoisseur or a novice to Indian cuisine, this place will exceed your expectations. I highly recommend it if you're in the Albany area!Dietary restrictions: Menu indicates by this legend: G-contains Gluten, D-contains Dairy, E-contains Egg, N-contains Nuts, V-Vegan, ?️ Spice Level

This was our first experience eating here, and the staff made us feel as welcome as if we were regulars! The food was just as terrific as the service! From the drinks to the dinner, everything was top notch. The paneer naan was a delicious accompaniment to the handcrafted drinks we enjoyed before dinner came out. The chicken vindaloo had a depth of flavor that made me want to endure the heat through each delicious bite, and the menu had many options that I am looking forward to trying in future visits.Going back to the excellent service, I discovered a drink that was not for me, and when I brought this up to the staff, they replaced it with a strawberry lassi and that tempered the heat of the vindaloo perfectly! The staff was attentive throughout and stopped to converse with us near the end of our meal, and that was a great touch! We'll definitely be making a return, and I certainly will recommend Spice Malabar to anyone looking for a top quality experience!
