Not. a. fan. Based on reviews we decided to try for take away and the food was mediocre. Flavors & quality were meh. Definitely not bad, but not good enough for us to want to go again. Inside is outdated but clean looking. Staff were fine when picking up.

Ok. Wow. This was a bonkers experience. The one star is for the amusement factor because it was just so bizarre I had to laugh. There were two other tables when we arrived yet we waited 30 mins for drinks and to take our order. The won ton soup was inedible. The dim sum appetizer was ok and my meal was actually not too bad (chicken with peanut garlic sauce). The hot sake (tiny bottle) was not good and they had no decent cold sake apparently. Although at one point a bottle was brought over but the waitress yelled at my husband that he couldn't have it because it wasn't cold enough. As noted in some other reviews, there was one older woman who seemed to be the bartender, cook, waitress, and busser. She was overall pleasant but we heard a lot of yelling from the kitchen. Would not return even if it were free. And it was $120 for two dinners, one appetizer, and 4 little tiny hot sakes. The ambiance is somewhat charming as it is old school Chinese restaurant but the lights were mostly out and the windows were broken. Don't do it.... Don't..... do..... it!

The food is excellent in this restaurant!!! If you're looking for reasonably priced, delicious Asian cuisine, try this place. They have been in business for 32 years and they certainly deserve support from our community. The atmosphere is relaxing and they do not rush you. What a wonderful change when most restaurants hurry you along . The folks at Tai Pan know the value of a relaxing atmosphere. Thank you!!!

Bad food no bueno. The Restaurant Gods are weeping because of your existence. My tastebuds hate me right now. I would rather eat my sweaty gym socks with ghost pepper sauce than eat at this place. Not fit for dog food.

I got the Crispy Vegetarian Rice Paper Rolls appetizer and Sweet Potato & Vegetable dish with shrimp fried rice. Still just as amazingly fresh and delicious tasting as I remembered it from many years ago! It’s also so beautiful inside the restaurant, it feels like a temple. I wish I had time to sit and enjoy it, but was in a rush. Take out was super fast. This place is a great choice to eat at out of so many nearby options, highly recommend!!

We’ve done pick up and eat in at this restaurant. Food tastes okay just a little under seasoned and flavored. Not sure if there’s a difference in terms of eating at the restaurant vs picking up. Parking lot and front seam to be deserted around lunch time which isn’t a good sign. The place kind of looks closed from the outside. Took a while for someone to even come and talk to me when I was doing pick up order but the lady seemed nice. Ordered Thai iced tea for pick up but got it in a can.

We ordered for delivery, and although the order was correct, we didn't receive any sauces, cookies, or utensils.

The food is very good and the owners are very nice. Best hot and sour soup in the area in my opinion. Usually order online and the food is always ready by the time I get there 20 minutes later. Would differently recommend this local area staple. Not a bad date night place either since the interior is nice with all the intricate woodwork and quite enough for long conversations at normal volume.

Went to Taipan tonight an hour before closing. Nobody else there just the owner. Food was ok but nothing special, lots of soy sauce and MSG. Drank maybe 3 full glasses of water and still thirsty. From what I gather from the reviews, it seems like on busy days and times they have different chefs and the food is better. On slow days like the Monday night we went those chefs arent there and it is is bare bones semi greasy take out caliber food.
