We were a large party, so understanding we couldn’t be accommodated without reservations. Our party was put in separate booths so we couldn’t talk to each other. Service was extremely slow. I ordered a glass of wine, which was a quarter filled (not here for a tasting). I also ordered a burger, no bun and no fries. When I asked for a side salad I was told it would be extra. First and last time here!

Awesome experience on Saint Patricks Day! The service was great, the management (Jane) was exceptional. We were seated promptly and service was fast and friendly. A proper pour of Guinness set the tone for a great meal of corned beef and cabbage for me and Irish stew for my spouse. Did I mention the scones? They are excellent as well. As we were finishing the manager came by to ensure all was well, she took a moment to show us around this beautiful restaurant. We could not be more pleased with our experience. We will be back soon!

Met for lunch today. The portions a large so we asked to split the fish fry! No problem , it was served on two plates with fries. It did not disappoint. We all shared a tiramisu it was homemade and just enough. The service was quick and very friendly. I will return again when going through this area.

Looking for a quick bite while in town for a volleyball tournament. This place was the closest and had some decent reviews. When going to an Irish restaurant get the Irish food! The Reuben was fantastic! Plenty of very good corned beef and the cheese was ooey gooey all on the perfect rye bread with just enough sour crout and thousand island dressing. Great sandwich! Service was a little slow moving and it wasn't very busy at all. I sat with an empty water all the way to the end of my meal without a single offer for a refill.

This place never disappoints. Food is so good, portions are generous. Presentation is lovely. We love the little nooks you can sit in to dine. Each table has its own feel. Only one complaint if you will, the two seater tables are a bit small.

If you’re looking to host a party Chieftans is the place to do it! They were able to accommodate a last minute surprise party, with 30+ guests & helped with anything we needed in between! Thank you to Jayne and her wonderful staff for the best night to remember as the first big celebration of our year! I can’t thank you enough! Highly recommend!

Pretty good spot. The food is good, they have typical bar fare with some Irish dishes thrown in for good measure. Their BBQ bacon burger is pretty damn tasty. Completely a local crowd from the area. They have one glaring issue. You google sports bar and it comes up. No. They do NOT show regular sports. They have two TV's and they are generally on garbage. They cannot even get normal sports. I asked about a Buffalo Bills game that was playing on a thursday night. Nope. The bartender didn't even know what any of channels were. So NOT a sports bar, but for good food, good drinks, and plenty of room, it's worth your time.

Stopped in on a Sunday evening for an impromptu dinner & a drink at the bar. It has the feel of a friendly neighborhood establishment. The bartender was confused by my simple order of Scotch & Soda. At first I was told that this well stocked bar had no Scotch and then once she found it I was asked what kind of soda. She took our orders which arrived fairly quickly but my dining companions side order with his burger was incorrect. I had the Fish & Chips but subbed out the fries for onion rings. The Cole slaw was good although quite vinegary. Overall it was a good meal for the price. The drinks however were a little pricey, I was given and charged for a double even though I hadn't requested such. Not sure if this is the bartender or the bars' policy, but it's not a good one.

Great place to meet and take outside folks. Very much a great example of Cobleskill. Food is great, more expensive but worth the additional cost. Bartistas are nice and the staff is not only nice but also very attentive.
