Chee-bog is amazing! Some of the best food in the Capital Region and well-worth ordering in advance. The flavors are on point and the people are friendly!

The staff here were super friendly. They let my little brother eat food from another place here and they also let our dog come in. We tried the pancit and the lumpia and both were really good. I would totally recommend coming here.

I first had Champ's (owner) food when he was doing pop-ups at Wolf Hollow Brewing Company in West Glenville. Now he has a brick and mortar restaurant of his own. For me, Filipino food is nostalgic. It brings back memories of home. I would venture to guess that Filipinos rival Italians in making food their love language.Champ does not disappoint. On the menu for tonight: Lechon Kawali, Lumpia, and Ube ice cream. It's a nice touch that Chee-Bog offers phonetic spellings of each of their menu items. Let's cut to the chase.Lechon Kawali - it's basically deep fried uncured bacon/pork belly, served with a lechon sauce (traditionally made with chicken liver, breadcrumbs, garlic, onion, brown sugar). The lechon is served with two ice cream scoops worth of white rice, a little fried garlic, and topped with quick pickled cucumber. If you like pork, this is guaranteed to make both you and your cardiologist happy.Lumpia - Filipino egg roll (pork and veggies) served with duck sauce and/or sawsawan (Filipino dipping sauce). Use the sawsawan for the lechon too.Ube ice cream - ube is a purple yam, one of the most Instagrammable ingredients due to its unique color. It lends a subtle sweet potato flavor to the ice cream. The riot of color and added crunch is provided by some Fruity Pebbles cereal.Filipino food is getting it's time in the spotlight now thanks to chefs like Champ as well as Chris Mauricio of Harana Market in Accord, NY.

I have been looking for Filipino food for quite some time. This place popped up randomly and I thought I better give it a chance because I saw that they had lumpia. I will say that I am not disappointed! The service was friendly when I went to pick up my order, but I didn’t know that I could sit in the small restaurant. My friend and I will definitely go back to sit in. The atmosphere of the place is very nice, clean and comfortable. The owner was friendly and excited that I was there to try his food. I will 100% be ordering from there again, if not every weekend. Fantastic!

Absolutely delicious. The smell emanating from the restaurant was amazing. Friendly staff. Clean premises. A little pricey, but you easily get 2-3 portions with one meal.Personally, I can't say how authentic it is. But I will say that I used to have a coworker who was Filipino, and she would make me lumpia. The lumpia here is nearly identical in flavor.Definitely worth the trip. Probably one of the best spots in the 518. A true secret gem.

Phenomenal food. Phenomenal service. My partner and I ordered the lechon kawali, Inihaw Baboy, and lumpia. I was utterly gobsmacked by how good the food was. Everything was incredible. The meats were juicy, tender, seasoned to perfection. The place is very small and there isn’t much seating. But the staff was super friendly—the chef even came out to greet each of the diners, and I appreciated the personal touch. Can’t wait to go back many more times.
