Doesn't look like the most popular place in town when you drive past it, but the food is amazing!! We went in with a group of 12 of us as a family and were seated right away. All of chefs and waiters were so good to accommodate to our no peanuts and no green peas allergies and took care of every little thing. As for the food, I can go on and on but every appetizer and entree that we ordered were so authentically cooked and there were no disappointments. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the chicken was tender and the bondas were so crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside; I almost ate the entire plate!! Overall, my entire family had a really great experience. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Horrible customer service and terrible food. Everything was spicy when we had asked for mild/very mild and this was reiterated twice during the call. One of the items didn't look or taste like how it was meant to be. Never coming back here.

I ordered Mughalai Chicken curry and naan from this restaurant. This was consecutive second worst experience I had with them. The curry literally was like some uncooked pieces of chicken in some colored water which doesn't have any taste. I wrote about my previous bad experience and they apologized me and asked me to try again to change my opinion but this time it's more horrible than ever. I felt so Insulted in front of my guests for serving them such bad food. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I am from england and have had many curries, this was terrible, no spice, no flavour, lazy, lazy cooking, and expensive! Avoid

Went on Thursday around 12:45 for lunch with two lady friends. The neon sign blinked "OPEN" in red and the banner attached to the front of the building advertised daily lunch buffet. The first sign we were in trouble was that there were no cars in the large parking lot on this busy main drag. Then after entering we saw no buffet was set up. After waiting 5-10 minutes, calling out etc., I finally went back into the kitchen and asked what was going on. One of the cooks shouted and two young men came scrambling. By this time, we were so disappointed, that even when we were told lunch was available, we decided to leave. This as been the site of various popular restaurants including a Mexican chain and most recently an always packed Thai restaurant. Not sure what the problem is here as the commodious room was well-appointed and the location should surely pack curry lovers in. Luckily, there are several other Indian restaurants in the vicinity, one of which we actually lunched at and were delighted.

we have been going here since they first opened. And last few times we realized the food quality and taste has moved below expectation and experience. However today was the worst experience so far. All our chicken dishes were not fresh at all. Very disappointed.

Vegetable fried rice with chili chicken is a total rip off at $16, it is really a $10 item. Very little meat and the rice is completely flavorless

Aromas did an amazing job of decorating the backdrop for my daughter's birthday and the food was delicious. The owner, the manager for the food and event staff paid good attention to all the guests and made sure everything is good. Good place to host parties, their party area is spacious and perfect for all sort of events.

Recently ordered 2 items "Chicken Biryani" and "Bullet Chicken" , Biryani is not at all fresh and Chicken pieces in biryani sucks and bullet chicken indescribably terrible , the quality and flavor of the food is Bad, these items(Chicken Biryani and Bullet chicken) were suggested as specials by the Management, waving good bye to this place. They don't even deserve 1 star for their service and food. Worst place to dine in

Offered $9.99 on weekend special buffet. As a customer I am attracted the price. Though I heard bad reviews about this place but want to try a shot again and went to buffet. As usual had a very bad experience. Food is not at all good. Nothing special. Most of the food bins are empty and not refilled. We are tired and left the buffet in the middle. Finally went to Subway to complete our lunch. At the end, our lunch cost became double the amount. Dont know why the management advertise like that and not maintain the standards.

We visited Aromas a few times, mainly because their Indo-Chinese menu, which is quite good. Unfortunately, their service has always been poor, and it seems to have only gotten worse over time. The servers we have encountered were unprofessional at best, and rude at worst. We were there today for dinner, and witnessed the absolutely worst service we have encountered in any restaurant ever. Firstly, the server forgot about our appetizer order, and pretended as if we didn't order it at all. Then, suddenly another server took over - although our original server didn't even bother to tell us he was leaving. The second server erred in preparing our bill, and was hardly polite to say the least. With us and another family still in the restaurant, he flicked the lights off and on - a rude way to hint that we should be leaving, and turned off the lights even before we had all left. We won't be returning.

I got really excited to check out their chat buffet(Indian street food) but was really disappointed when I experienced their food and service. 1) By the time we checked in almost half the trays were 1/4th of the dishes were empty and they dint bother refilling it. 2) To add to our disappointment the food we had were stale or soaked up with oil. 3) That being said the only chat item we liked in there was their decent Paav Bhaji. We had to satiate our hunger with the biryani they had(which isn't chat) but again they were out soon and no one bothered to refill. 4) To add on the frustration their service in the table was even more terrible. There wasn't anyone in the restaurant to refill water or take away the dishes. So folks in my personal opinion, I feel going for their buffet is a terrible idea and isn't worth the money you spend. À la carte is the way to go in this place until the management gets a grip in this dysfunctional restaurant.

First visit with my husband today. We have always commented on how our town, Albany now needs a good restaurant serving Indo-Chinese cuisine that we savored growing up in Lucknow. Walking in , the impression was great- large space with street view spanning the entire width of the restaurant and nice decor. The waiters were very friendly and helpful. The food, though, was a disappointment overall. I loved the mango lassi and the wings. The hot and sour soup lacked both the heat and the tartness. The pani in pani-puri was bland with ice in it ! The noodles were not tasty either. I think the owners have a great opportunity here. However, my advise would be for the cooks to train in Indo-chinese cooking from restaurants in New Jersey or NYC. They have a lot of local competition in regular Indian cuisines but they can really up their game in something that the city still needs.
