Last Saturday night was so much fun! We came in for a comedy show, and decided to come a little early for apps and drinks. Our waitress was super nice and talked us into sharing a sandwich with our apps. The French onion soup was delish just like everyone told us it was. The portions are huge! I watched what people were ordering around us and I couldn't believe the portion size

Came to try the soup sampler. We tried the French onion, corn chowder, and the chili. The soups didn't have much flavor and the chili tasted as if it had ground up beans as well as the whole beans (not a fan of any of them) We split the sausage burger and onion rings. It was ok but not great. The onion rings were good. Service was good. Had the reuben egg rolls that were pretty good but not really any cheese in them.

UPDATE: ***Now 3 years later, tried a club sandwich today. Had what quite possibly could be the lowest quality meat I have eaten. Slimy turkey with zero taste.. blah***Loved the original Blessings Tavern. After a couple years, excited to try again, but I was tremendously disappointed. Hot wings came first, they were decent, as remembered. Next a Blessings burger, which came on a cold dry bun that was twice the size of the patty. I ordered the burger med rare, it came burnt to a black crisp, overdone and dry. The french fries were frozen not fresh, and tasted of dirty oil. The waitress apologized and offered to remake or choose something else. She was great. I chose an order of potato skins, thinking I couldn't go 0-3 on basic pub fare. The skins came out as greasy, thin potato shell bowls, filled to the brim with a "cheese-like" sauce and a pinch of undercooked fatty bacon. After my second bite, I was repulsed yet again and called it a night. It's very sad that after such a tragedy, the restaurant opened back up as a shadow of its former self and has lost its high standard of tasty pub food in a cozy atmosphere. I will not be returning and cannot in good conscience recommend. The wings and waitress were the only things saving this review from 1 star.

I took my family there for a birthday celebration. The service was slow, waitress took care of the “regulars” before us, it was a Monday night, so it wasn’t busy. My daughter’s salad had way too much salad dressing. Something in my salad tasted spoiled. I won’t be back.

Great food at very reasonable prices. Excellent service. Great neighborhood tavern.
Had a delicious bowl of creamy chicken and rice soup. Jess is an awesome server. She took our orders quickly and brought the food in no time at all. The prices are very reasonable.
Excellent everything! It was nice enough we could sit outside and hear the band play. Overall just
