Family Promise of the Capital Region

We wish to express or deep appreciation to Seasons Catering for catering our annual Doors to the Future Celebration in the beautiful banquet hall at St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church. The event was attended by 175 people and the food and service was exceptional! A special shout out to Shelly and the wait staff for their kindness to our attendees and special attentiveness to our graduated families! The very best to all of you!

Our rating is really a 3.5 but they didn't give us that choice. Seasons offered great prices for a great amount of food, their satellite kitchen fee was competitive (we got married in a place with no industrial kitchen on property), we got a table captain which was an added bonus, and the staff were so nice when we were asking a bunch of questions prior to booking. I only have so much space here so I will keep pre-wedding experience brief. Our main issues were: tipping not set and needed to be paid before the event because I don’t like not knowing if the money went to those at our wedding because I didn’t get to give it to them directly or if we were considered “low tippers” how that might have impacted our day, signature drinks not being guaranteed and an extra 14 a head if we wanted to guarantee it (this was nowhere in our contract), and our contacts at Seasons changing as people left the business and no one notified us (in the end we had 4 different people we ended up talking to).The day of the wedding was overall pretty great. The most important thing is that everyone said the food was AMAZING. TI think they went above and beyond with cocktail hour. I thought it was a great amount of food for the price! When we moved into the reception we had just one bar, and that became an issue. There was 150 people, and I asked my planner to get two bars for us for the wedding because it’s just too many guests and the way the venue gets set up it creates a lot of bottle neck. I cannot say who is to blame because I was not on the call when they discussed it. It created a very difficult time for people to serve dinner because the line was so long, and then the bar tenders said they were gonna close the bar for dinner service. That was never agreed upon and people were waiting about 10 minutes for drinks, so we had our planner handle that and told them no to shutting the bar. It ended up working out. One of the things that I talked about at length in planning was the part in the contract about plastic utensils, plates, etc. and I made sure it was noted that we would only use plastic close to the end of the night as I know they need to clean. We were a little disappointed to see plastic cups being served so quickly. It was definitely not towards the end of the night. Everyone said the servers were LOVELY and very nice and helpful (especially to my older relatives). The only other thing was that they didn’t put plates out with my doughnuts and cookies for dessert, and I had to ask my planner to put out the bags for the doughnuts. I didn’t like seeing my guests eating the doughnuts out of their hands and not being able to put them anywhere. Our table captain was amazing and so friendly, helping us out all night and making sure we were comfortable.All in all, our experience was positive, but we do think that the infrastructure and administration of seasons is in need of some work. Our experience was not awful by any means, but I think it’s fair to let you know everything that happened from our perspective. In the end, a lot of what happened that I wrote here most of our guests didn’t notice, but you will probably notice as the bride or groom.

My son had his wedding at the Edison Downtown. While the venue was nice, the food was disgusting. The owner will not take any ownership of the bad food, even though I sent her pictures. When I brought this to her attention, all she could say is that "they went above and beyond for the Bride and Groom and they were happy". I'm sorry, I am the client, my husband and I paid for the wedding and I was focusing on the food, not the experience. Very disappointed. Found out later from some other family members, that they had similar experiences. Not sure why they have anything above a 2 star rating!

My husband and I recently had our wedding at The Edison Downtown and it was amazing! Belinda, Shelly, and all the catering staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Guests were raving about the cocktail hour food and display. Our meals were delicious and we are so happy we chose Seasons Catering!

I do not know who is writing these reviews, but the horrible food served at my son's wedding was disgusting. The owner took no responsibility in this, even though I sent her pictures of what was served. She insisted all plates came back empty, which is a flat out lie! Everyone at our table could not eat their meat, being it was burnt and too tough. The chicken was industry chicken and not fresh.

We cannot thank the seasons catering team enough for making our wedding day more amazing than we could have ever asked for. The support from Belinda and the team leading up to the day and throughout the planning process was so helpful. The Edison Downtown was absolutely gorgeous and our guests wouldn't stop talking about how beautiful it was. The day came together amazingly and Kia, Moe and team had everything running smoothly! We had zero stress thanks to them! Last but not least, and the best thing of all was the food! Guests were telling us weeks later how great everything tasted and was perfectly cooked! With the quality of food being one of our most important requirements when looking for a caterer, it was so great to hear the compliments and we are grateful to have had Seasons help us put on the most amazing day.

Belinda and her Crew Absolutely nailed it. With over 200 guests, she took ALL our visions and dreams and turned them into reality! Complete PINK encouraged wedding attire, even the staff participated and wore pink ties.Not one detail was missed!! Not even my pink bows that were steamed on-site to be sure of any wrinkles.Food was phenomenal, staff was beyond courteous of all and any need we had. And the bartenders well they were on their game, anytime they saw myself, the groom or anyone in our wedding party empty, they were running us drinks.By far THE BEST OF THE BEST!!!!We’ve had gusts calling all week saying518’s Wedding of the YEAR!Thank you Seasons Catering you will definitely see us in the future for other gatherings ?XxFancy & Chuck ♥️

Season's Catering is an excellent cater. For the last 2 years they have catered one of my organization's, the Capital District Women's Employment & Resource Center, top fundraising event at the Pruyn House in Latham and the food and the service has been superb. I highly recommend them if you want to put on an event that will impress.

Seasons Catering provided the food and linens for our Junior Prom. We could not have asked to work with a better company. Belinda and her entire staff went above and beyond to give our students the best night. They helped us pick the best food stations for our students, guided us during the entire planning process, and provided above and beyond service the night of the prom. We would recommend this company to any school, bride, etc. who is looking for a catering company to meet all of their needs!

Our Benedicts 80th Anniversary Gala at the Canfield Casino was magical. Stephanie was so attentive and helpful every step of the way. She kept checking with us to make sure everything was exactly as we wanted. Her staff was courteous and very efficient. The food was beyond delicious. Superb!!!. The evening couldn't have been more PERFECT.

Our Benedicts Ballroom Dance Club's 80th Anniversary Gala was magical. The Canfield Casino was our venue site ( 4/01/2023) and it was obvious that Seasons Hospitality was right on top of it. Stephanie was our caterer and she was exceptional. Every detail no matter how small or how large was attended to. The staff was courteous and very attentive. The food was beyond delicious. Extremely disrespectful over the phone. Charged my credit card 5 days in advance after telling me they'd charge day before. Canceled my reservation completely because I questioned being charged so far in advance, then when I asked for their website, I was told "look it up" and literally hung up on. Absolutely horrible customer service and problem solving skills. Whomever I spoke with on the phone clearly had no personal investment in this business. They'd be wise to start recording calls. I've honestly never been treated so unprofessional by someone who was working. Maybe she's intimately related to the owner....and classless ????????‍♀️

As soon as we had our tasting with Seasons, we knew we needed them to cater our wedding, there was no question about it! Everything with Seasons was exceptional from start to finish. Belinda and her team are top notch, and we cannot thank them enough for catering our wedding on October 1 at Windham Manor. Belinda went above and beyond for us and did anything and everything to ensure we were happy every step of the way. The customer service, the amazing food, the talented chefs (Tanner and Chuck, just amazing), the professional staff and did I mention the food, all absolutely made our wedding! Our family and friends have not stopped talking about the cocktail hour (amazing sushi boats, pasta station, the fajita station of your dreams and so much more), their melt in your mouth entrees and the out-of-control dessert spread. We’ve gotten so many compliments about the incredible food and cannot thank Seasons enough. Belinda thought of everything and was a true partner to us in planning our wedding. It was truly spectacular!Yvette, our day of coordinator from the Seasons team, was my girl! With one look Yvette knew exactly what I was thinking and was always ten steps ahead of me. She is fantastic and damn good at what she does. Yvette kept the show moving on our timelines, made sure we were happy at every single step, adjusted things for us seamlessly when needed and executed our wedding with the utmost professionalism and poise. She is one of a kind!If you are looking for amazing food, amazing service, and an incredible team of talented individuals, look no further. Seasons is an absolute must! I will forever be recommending Seasons and look forward to crossing paths again!
