We ordered the scallion pancakes, scallion fried rice, and sesame chicken. Everything was amazing! The scallion fried rice was something we never had before and the combination of scallion and pieces of fried egg is something you must try!

I came here on Sunday around 6PM. The parking lot is small, maybe 10 spots. The restaurant is smaller than I expected with 12 tables and are setup really close to each other. Inside was clean and filled with people quickly. There were 2 waitresses that taking orders, delivering food and printing bills. Lacks of staff lead to some tables weren't be cleaned after customers left and waiting time for new customers to ne served. Staffs are friendly. I order Tso Chicken and Honey ribs. They were both so so, not the best Chinese food I've had. Price is higher than normal Chinese places. I don't think I will come back again

We were looking for local Chinese food while we were staying in this area. We wanted sit down, not takeout. This place was a few miles from our hotel. We started with the typical spring rolls and I had chicken with broccoli and the pork fried rice. I can't remember what my partner had but it was Chicken with lots of mixed vegetables. Both entrées were excellent. They seem to do a big takeout business also. If you're in the area stop in.

My wife, mother in law and I just enjoyed a wonderful early dinner at this little gem. Good quality food and pleasant service made this a very enjoyable experience. I ordered the roast duck and my mom in law ordered the moo shu pork. My wife ordered the double cooked pork. We shared the hot and sour soup. High quality ingredients made all the food delicious and the portions were so generous that we all ended up taking food home. Highly recommend.

Amazing service, amazing food!We went as a part of 5, but soon after placing our order 2 of us had to leave (1 was going to come back after half an hour). Not only did the waitress lady help us pick what to get for a part of 5, she offered to pause the cooking while our friend came back so that the food would be served warm and fresh. She constantly checked up on us while waiting for our friend, and we finished 2 plates of scallion pancakes (it was that good!!).All of the dishes were amazing. The cucumber dish had a spice (I can't remember the name) that gave a tingling feeling to your tongue. Very unique, it's an experience. We enjoyed the food so much that just the 4 of us finished all of the dishes ordered originally for 5 people. (And an extra order of scallion pancake)Underrated spot, would totally go back!

I am struggling on whether this review should be 1 star or 4, so here's the disclaimer. We ordered our food through Grub Hub and it arrived extremely late. I'm not sure if it was the delivery driver that had trouble meeting the time or the restaurant. So please be warned if you order for delivery. That being said, I am writing this review based only on the quality of the food. The package was really well packed. I'm so impressed that none of the dishes spilled to be honest. It is one of my pet peeves to get delivered food that's such a mess. I ordered the mango chicken and it was absolutely delicious. A beautiful blend of sweet and spicy mixed into one. The scallion pancakes were also super crispy and delicious! Also, I do want to give them extra points for having a few vegan and vegetarian options as well!

I was born and raised an Italian Catholic, so the idea of celebrating a Jewish Christmas having Chinese food was totally alien to me. But not Spicy Home Tasty. I'd been there before and it was at the top of my list. I called earlier in the day to see if they were open and the background noise said they were hopping. Let me say that this is a EXTREMELY POSITIVE review. The circumstances of Christmas, on a Sunday, seemed to bring half of Long Island to this restaurant. The first sign was the parking lot. It was packed. My girlfriend waited in the car while I ran in suss out the situation. The place was packed. But I made it up to the counter and asked a member of the waitstaff and was told that we could have a table in about 15 minutes but warned that the food would take a little longer. The reason: a line of people waiting for takeout that went out the door (mostly Seamless and DoorDash guys) at times 10 deep or more. But no problem. We were seated at the 15 minute mark and ordered drinks. A few minutes went by and our food order was taken. The server asked if it was okay for our food to arrive as it came out of the kitchen. That was okay by me. We did sit for quite a while. But had a chance to observe the waitstaff in action. There were two people working the front of the house with about 50-60 diners. And they were epic. Clearing tables, taking orders, bringing out food. They were always friendly, always polite, and despite the antics of some of the customers, never lost their cool. When our food came out, it was glorious. Taking photos just slipped our minds. We shared a Tofu Dry Pot, Chicken in Garlic Sauce, and Wonton Soup. (I think they arrived in that order.) I'm not a huge tofu fan, but that dish made me a believer. The chicken was garlicky without being overwhelming. As for the soup, the wonton wrappers were thin and tender, not like the gummy or chewy ones I've had at lesser restaurants. When the check arrived, I asked a quick question: How many people are working in the kitchen. The answer, including two dishwashers and one runner, was nine. Pretty amazing when you consider that they probably cranked out more than 1,000 dishes during the time we were there. Another thing, they didn't jack up their prices for the holiday, like some restaurants too. And offered us a bamboo calendar with the check. Class act all the way. Kudos to everyone at Spicy Home Tasty. And I promise not to wait until next Christmas to go back.

Good food! Came for lunch, nice selection for $10.50 including soup and rice. I had shrimp and broccoli, very good. Shrimp were huge, got 4 but it was plenty. Hubby had orange beef, excellent. Ordered wontons with chili oil, excellent and tad bit spicy. Too much food, have to take it home!

Excellent every time! I have dined in and taken out and it's the same quality. So good!

By far the best szechuan on Long Island past the queens/Nassau border. Dry pot is great, szechuan fried chicken is great, pan fried noodles are great, everything is great. A small slice of flushing in our backyard!
