“Consistently great experience at Izumi. We've been coming here at least once a year for the last eight years for my brother-in-law's bday and we are never disappointed. Our experience today seemed especially great! Steak and scallop hibachi is my go to, the scallops today were perfection. Drinks are always fantastic; always well balanced and tasty. $9 specialty cocktails at the bar everyday from 4pm-6pm. I think I've tried every drink at this point; they're all great. My husband ordered lobster today which truthfully I was skeptical would be overcooked, but it was fantastic! My MIL had a few sushi rolls which were fresh and delicious. Our chef today was fun but not over the top, as hibachi chefs sometimes can be. We were seated next to a family with two small children, and the chef was fantastic with them. 10/10 recommend!!“

They greet you when you come in and are the only employees there (so definitely have patience though their kindness makes up for any time waiting).Each time I’ve been there they’ve given us a complementary “starter” (2 pieces per person of a spicy, on-the-house sushi).Today we went for the lunch combo and that’s been our favorite so far since the price is good for what you get and I love that it comes with a choice of miso or salad (last time we went for dinner and I had their bulgolgi sushi which was amazing but I loved how fresh and filling their lunch special was while also being budget friendly).They even served us free dessert both times; a complementary (and beautifully cut) orange slice and half a mochi each (last time it was the vanilla mochi which I loved as it reminded me of an orange creamsicle with the orange slice but today’s was a matcha mocha that was absolutely delicious).We’ll definitely be back :)Vegetarian options: I had a sweet potato sushi roll that was so good! I also see they have avocado rolls and other rolls that are just surrounded by a single but delish vegetable.Kid-friendliness: There was a mom and her little toddler waiting for takeout; the owners not only gave them the complementary starter while they waited for their order but even a whole mochi to the toddler as she was waiting with her mom. “I was so hungry, I took a bite before I remembered to take a picture! The last time I was in this area for work I had both dinner and lunch the next day at this restaurant. This time I was considering trying another place a little further away, but since the weather is nasty, I decided to stay close to my hotel, and come here again. The sushi does not disappoint. I started with the colorful role and my own creation of a salmon hand roll with Ikura. It's a great combination, you should try it! I decided I was still hungry, but trying to get a hold of my waiter to order some more food was difficult. Even though it was in the wrong order, I decided I needed a bowl of miso soup. I wish they had Inari sushi, but they didn't so I settled for a piece of tamago just to have something sweet to end with. The restaurant is a little bit noisy, but otherwise comfortable. There is an excellent chance. I will be back for lunch again tomorrow!“

This is a pretty much take out only place there is two or so seats in the place but they have many cute decorations, it is the only reason for low atmosphere rating. The waitress was amazing, reciting an extensive list of daily specials and remembering everyone's order with the finest detail. I never thought of this place as a prime sushi location, but I was delightfully mistaken! Amazing, fresh cuts of fish. I am very particular about my steaks, though, especially considering this is a well-known steakhouse. I ordered medium rare, but it was pretty significantly overcooked. It was still delicious, and I didn't want to make a big deal of it. But, because of how expensive everything was, I was tempted. Overall, it was a phenomenal experience. I'm just hoping for the correct steak temperature for next time!“

The dining room is busy but the booth type seating gives a private feel. Food was beyond delicious. Between our party of 4 galfriends, we enjoyed sushi, seafood & beef entrees. “Osaka has the best fried rice in Huntington. The steamed dumplings are good, but the fried rice is top tier. I had the noodle udon once and that was delicious and ordered tofu teriyaki for take out. The tofu was soft but well friend and they gave you plenty of teriyaki sauce on the side so the food didn't get soggy.“

Really good amount of lobster, good crunch, and the sweet mango sauce was a good combination. For my main, I got the Farmingdale roll. The combo of the spicy yellowtail, and the pepper tuna and pepper salmon worked so well. I really enjoy the peppered fish. The sauces on top weren't overpowering either.This really is a nice spot to go. Great for a casual sit down or even a date night.Parking: Lots of parking.“

“Staff here is very friendly. I got the chicken katsu bento and it was...just ok. Chicken was perfect, but the rice was super mushy. The miso soup was obviously from a ready mix and had those tiny little completely uniform freeze-dried tofu pieces. Ebi Mayo/rock shrimp was better, but tiny portion. Kani salad had more lettuce than crab and didn't have crunchy panko on top. They're also really cheap with the sauces here. Overall it'll satisfy your cravings, but don't expect to be blown away. I honestly feel they're overpriced for the quality served.“

But then we ate at Aki, newly relocated from their previous location on Jericho Turnpike. I'd have to say this is some of the best Sushi I've ever eaten. The Jericho roll was a spectacular taste sensation far surpassing anything I've been served at the places sushi fanatics have dragged me to around LA and NYC. Nobu ain't got nothing on this place - and the prices were unbelievably affordable.“

Since the wait was a bit longer than usual we were kindly given a plate of Edamame on the house. That's when we noticed that our server was working the entire dining room by herself after another called in sick last-minute.Being short staffed is a challenge on any night but this was a packed house on Saturday night with a large number of take-out orders flowing and the team stepped up with impressive dexterity. Given the circumstances mistakes can happen but we didn't notice any.Our meals were delicious, creative and beautiful. We've since returned several times for the great food but the real triumph that night was how well everyone in the front house performed.Kid-friendliness: We saw several kids having a great time!“

All chunk no scrapings of tuna. big quality chunks of tuna and salmon. I felt the spider roll had a bit too much crunches mixed in. A serving of miso soup (included) was very good. Overall, definitely worth a visit. Just a little reminder-- unless it's called in, you're gonna wait for them to make it (fresh) less than 15 minutes. And as I said earlier it's worth the coin“
