“La Bistro Coram is by far my family’s go to pizzeria spot. We have tons of spots by our house but we take the commute to Coram always because they simply have the best tasting pizza, pasta, salads and everything in between. Their service is amazing and Julianna is the best. We’ve even catered with them multiple times and she has always been more than accommodating to our needs and does so professionally each time. “Even though our son is a professional chef and we think of ourselves as "foodies," we have only limited experience with Caribbean cuisine. That's going to change, because we will absolutely go back to Taino's to explore more of the menu. We went around 6-ish on a Monday night to celebrate my birthday, and the only other patrons were at the bar. They appeared to be regulars, and the vibe was warm and casual. Coconut shrimp is one of my guilty pleasures and I order it every time I see it on a menu. Tainos' was quite possibly the best I've ever had: enormous shrimp coated in batter and flaked coconut, fried to crispy perfection and served with a to-die-for coconut dipping sauce. I'm also a skirt steak junkie, so ordered the Churrasco al la Parrilla which is served with a large serving of rice, bowl of red beans and chimichurri sauce, all presented beautifully, complete with an orchid. I was so full from the shrimp, I took nearly all of my entree home. Our lovely waitress (also the bartender) packed up my leftovers so they were just as attractive and appetizing the next day. Everything, including the steak, reheated perfectly. Granted, at my age I have a small appetite, but I'll be finishing the second (!) half of my steak, rice and beans tonight (night #3). Our son ordered the chicken Canasta de Platano (plantain 'baskets') appetizer and grudgingly gave me only a tiny (delicious) taste. Husband ordered fried cheese, and ate a whole piece even before I could take a photo. Again, I was allowed only one bite, but know I'll order my own the next time we're there. He also ordered the skirt steak, but our son tried the Colombian platter (steak, avocado, pork cracklings, fried egg, rice and more), which he loved. He gave me the sweet corn cakes which I devoured. Can't wait to try "mofungo," which seems to be a signature dish. The oxtails look fabulous, too.“

“Absolutely Love Matt’s Pizza, their crust is to die for, flavor wise this is by far my favorite place to get pizza! Just had their chicken tenders, fries and mozzarella sticks tonight and they are DELICIOUS! Can’t say enough good things about them!“

“My first wife and I were in the mood for some great “slices” for a casual dinner after we had developed quite an appetite after our latest sweaty “reconciliation” session.Maria’s was highly recommended by some of the locals who know where to get “great” and affordable pizza out in this neck of Long Island.Jackie staffed the counter and Leo was manning the ovens that evening.The food was great! We both ended having a slice of the BBQ pizza as well as a slice of the Buffalo Chicken pizza. Two slices was plenty and super affordable and it only took minutes to reheat from the extensive display of pizza options.For a little sweetness, we also ordered two of the yummy chocolate-covered, home made doughnuts.Although we could have dined there, the place is clearly more of a take out place, rather than a fine dining establishment.Feasting on pizza and donuts from Maria’s was THE perfect way to celebrate our successful reconnection before we both collapsed into a deep, satisfying sleep.Highly recommended!! Although we live far away, we will be back — probably with our newborn twins!.“

“Joey Z's has some of the best breakfast around! I always enjoy coming here for consistently good food and quick service. I had the banana pancakes (which are my go-to) and my mom had the Eggs Benedict which came with potatoes. The staff and owner are so kind and make you want to keep coming back!“
