Went for the lunch buffet and it was great! Had lots of variety and both veg and non-veg options.

My favorite for Indian cuisine...

I ordered the chicken tikka masala for take out and was not impressed. I do not like chunks of onion or peppers in my food.

Horrible tasting food (I’m Indian-American). Place looks run down and unsanitary; and price for portion sizes, as many have confirmed, is abominable. Don’t go here! See pics- this cost $20 with taxes.Overall a waste of my evening. That’s time and appetite I’m never getting back. I actually went back (40 miles driving altogether with two trips) and returned the food for a refund as a matter of principle (have a video to prove it). The guy proceeded to record me without consent ?. This is not surprising given how the owner responds to any critical reviews below- calling them bogus and finding faults with the customer. Absolute nonsense.

One of my favorite restaurants in the Albany area. Can’t beat the lunch buffet!

Been going here for years! Love the Naan variations and Tikka Makani! Yum! Eati n or take out... has been good!

The food is phenomenal and deserving of a fine dining experience. The dinning room could use some tint on the windows to block the harsh sunlight distracting from the decor, sure it’s fine in the evening. The place doesn’t feel fancy due to being in a strip mall but my goodness, the chief knows how to cook. Usually buffets are so so, but this is a buffet of perfectly seasoned dishes. Will definitely be adding this to our list of places to order dinners from :-)

Staff is extremely rude and the buffet is overpriced if you are taking it to go. Better value for a sit down meal. Definitely some of the worst Indian food in the region. I highly recommend Dosa Grill over Shalimar. They are not cheap on the spices or flavor, which is lacking here. The naan is also super thin.

Rohen is the absolute best! He consistently delivers the best service, has a great attitude, and makes sure everything in your order is correct. I've been here multiple times, and it's always enjoyable... but it's even more amazing when Rohen is there! If you want the best food and customer atmosphere in the Capital Region, go to Shalimar Delmar. (No they didn't pay me to write this! Lol)

Stark ,

Food is fresh and always delicious. Best hummus around!! Edit*** this place still rocks! It's so good it kept me from starting my diet for about a month! Lol no kidding all I want is their food. The owner is such a nice guy too , I love the rice don't tell my dad but I love this rice the best. If I could I'd go have lunch there right now! But I'm on keto. ? go there and have some for me! You know where to find me on my cheat day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!UPDATE 10/2023 I'm sorry to have to say that I can no longer eat here. When the place reopened after covid it was under new management. Im pretty sure the last owner sold it. the food is delicious but the new owner puts way too much MSG in the food. I started having a reaction to the food within a half hour of eating. Even after that I continued to return because I thought well maybe the soda doesn't mix well with the msg nope still had a reaction. So I went back again and I ordered a bottle of water. It did it again. This time I could barely make the drive home. I looked up my symptoms and it was a reaction to msg. It was like having vertigo and hot flashes all at once. It must of been alot because to my knowledge I am not allergic to msg. After my last visit I feel I've tortured myself enough and must say goodbye to my favorite place.
