“We tried brunch here for the first time because the menu looked good , and everything was delicious. The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice with nice pillows and comfortable seats. The menu for brunch had so many good options I changed my mind 3 times, but was talked into the Gruyère burger with an egg on it. It ended up being one of the best burgers I have had in a long time. The fries were good too. Everyone was very happy with their meals . The drinks were good and the tres leches bread pudding was out of this world. Our waitress was amazing she was helpful and extremely nice.Overall we had an amazing experience and will definitely be back to try some other options on the menu.“

“Kayla was our server, and supplied the vibe. She recommended the Speck pizza with hot honey, and that pizza changed my life. So damn good! I’m not kidding when I say that I loved it so much I ordered another one to go, to enjoy later that night. That smoked mozzarella ?. The Gnocchi was awesome and they even offer it in a bread bowl! The Italian sodas are also good, if you love natural ginger flavor, the apple ginger one for sure hits.“

“What a fun concept! This was so a fun and unique experience! Had to solve a riddle to get into the secret entrance inside of an ice cream shop! The drinks and staff were fabulous. We were able to hear live music in this cozy basement speakeasy! True history as well!Kid-friendliness: This is a bar in a small basement space. I would not recommend kids. I'm not sure if they are permitted. Get a sitter and go check it out!“

“Delicious Cuban food and service! We had the smoked pork chops, boiled yucca, moros, black beans, oxtail, fried grouper, flounder in garlic sauce, and a salad. We also got ham croquettes and the extremes platter (Cuban antipasto) as an app. We cleaned almost everything on our plates due to how good it was, and also had some flan for dessert and churros and tres leches. The drinks were good and nicely spiked, we all liked the hurricane, mojito, and iced tea. Price was not bad for all that we had. Very good and will come back :)“

“I recently had the pleasure of dining at IMC restaurant, and I must say, it was an experience beyond compare. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality that set the tone for the evening. The ambiance was inviting, with a perfect blend of elegance and comfort. But it was the food that truly stole the show. Each dish was a masterpiece, bursting with flavor and artfully presented. From the appetizers to the desserts, every bite was a delight for the senses. The culinary team at IMC has truly mastered the art of gastronomy. Moreover, the service was impeccable. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our dining experience was perfect.Overall, I cannot recommend IMC restaurant highly enough. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply craving an extraordinary meal, IMC is the place to be. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.“

“This is the 2nd time I've visited MaBella, and it was another delightful experience! The chicken franchise was delicious, as was the warm bread. The service is impeccable, the water glasses are quickly refilled, and the servers are friendly and attentive without being overbearing. We split dessert, and the NY Cheesecake was wonderful, as was the Affogato! We'll be back!“

“I had my husband's 40th birthday at Shanahan's and everything was amazing. Deana was great to work with in terms of setting up the party and planning the menu. She was super helpful and answered all my questions throughout the process. The day of the party the space was set up and ready when I got there and Deana helped me put out the decorations and balloons before the guests arrived. Deana and her staff were friendly and attentive the entire time during the party. The food was delicious and plentiful for the party size. I would highly recommend having a party here. It was such a great evening and everyone enjoyed themselves.“
“Went to Katie's of Smithtown about a month or so ago to see my cousins boyfriends band. The place is really tiny, and the stage took up a good chunk of the room. They had Guinness and maybe one other beer I recognized but other than that there were newer beers. At least new to me. The service was good. Even though it was crowded with for the band, the bartenders got my beer out in just a few minutes. The bathrooms were at the other side of the stage, and the woman's bathroom was tucked back almost behind the stage, which was a bit annoying to get to“

“We hadn't been to Palmers in a while so it was our first time back in over a year. The food and waitress were excellent. A lot of people working hard. The only negatives were it got very noisy around 7:00 on Saturday and the one young hostess was not very personable. She didn't greet us when we came in at all.“

“Recently held a surprise 60th birthday party for my mother in-law and honestly had a great experience. I’ve been a regular patron of Goldy’s for since their rebirth; however, recently I inquired about their party services. The process was simple. Even doing homework, price-wise they were competitive with the going rate per person. The staff was tremendous in making the event a hit! They were accommodating, attentive - overall made the experience a pleasure! Again, I would highly recommend and will continue to frequent Goldy’s as a regular patron!“

“Amazing restaurant whether it's with friends or family! One of my best friends from college raved about this restaurant and it's easily a hidden gem! You wouldn't normally expect to have a Greek-Mexican fusion restaurant but this one is amazing! I highly recommend getting their stuffed poblano peppers (stuffed with Cauliflower as I'm vegetarian) - 11/10! They even have mocktails and I recommend the mango mule - which I absolutely loved! Will definitely be back here, but given today was Saturday, the restaurant was busy so you couldn't hear the conversation, but food and service are top notch! Also...Food Network...get here ASAP!“

“Honestly, I went to this place two weekends in a row and was pleasantly surprised with how yummy it was. I love that I was able to order everything on lettuce wraps. Kung Pow chicken spicy, caramelized Brussels sprouts, and Vietnamese shrimp were among my favorites. I honestly wouldn’t recommend ordering the salsa here. It’s a little affected. One of my friends mentioned that it looked like alla-vodka sauce, and I agree he wasn’t wrong.“

All of the desserts were made by Gina and they were beyond delicious especially the hot donuts and rainbow cookies .. OMG! “Came in for an open jam session, first time here. Haven’t been here in years. This place has changed so much for the better! Comfortable, almost homey vibe. Great fresh tasting food, and drinks. Amazing service as well. We were always checked on by staff. They have a cocktail menu too. Just wish they had a larger variety of wine, but spoke with maybe the manager/owner and he said he will be adding that as he is finishing renovations. Will definitely be back!“

“This is a great place and our server was fantastic, helpful and right on top of things. Very nice and large menu. Lots of tasty looking sandwiches and burgers. Really appreciated the huge beer menu and some not so well known beers. I had a Granola Brown Ale from Black Hog in CT. We started with the Crispy Cauliflower app in the chili sauce. It was excellent. My wife had the Spaghetti Squash with the pesto sauce. It was very good, on the smaller size, but a nice plate. I ordered one of the St. Patrick's specials, Corned Beef, Cabbage and potato entree. I was disappointed in the meal. While the corned beef was pretty good, the potatoes and the cabbage were undercooked and hard. took a lot away from the meal.Definitely will try the place again as the vibe and the service was first rate.“
“Stopped in a handful of times and have never had a bad experience. Friendly group of regulars, attentive bartenders, and everything you want to drink! There’s bar games for everyone to enjoy, and they even have live music from time to time. If you’re in the area I’d give it a shot.“

“Perfect place to go to on any day, although the game atmosphere on the weekends is a party; crowded but not overcrowded and everyone is friendly. During the week it is quieter and easy to get a table. The servers know their jobs well and are attentive when you need it without overdoing it.The menu has a different selection from what I expected. There is delicious beer cheese soup, thinly sliced reuben sandwiches with sauerkraut and dressing, various salads such as fantasia salmon salad, buffalo wings, calamari, quesadillas and many more selections including a brunch on Sundays. I don't give 5 stars on food unless it is incredibly special, but this place deserves a very high 4 stars not only for the food but for the quick order taking and serving. Pricing is average unless you are a big drinker; if you are drinking, there are a huge variety of beers and other alcoholic drinks. There are about 50 live streaming tv's on every wall, including on the outside wall if you prefer to eat outdoors.Great place to go to with friends and family. Changing Times Pub has to be tried out!Parking: There are parking spaces all along the front and back of Changing Times, but there is also a large lot right next to the small group of connected stores that this pub is a part of.“

“Sandbar is reminiscent of so many beautiful seaside venues. The interior design does match the restaurant's namesake and it was pleasant to the eye. Even the bar area looked inviting. I could see myself stopping by to watch a game.As for the food, my friend and I shared the mussels to start. Go ahead and dip some bread into the sauce of the dish. It'll change your life. We had the chickpea fries as well but I wasn't a fan of those. Our main dishes included the Pappardelle Bolognese and the Branzino. Both seemed expertly crafted. I have no complaints there. They seem to have a solid wine collection so don't worry about finding the right libation to add to your dinner. There were some slight service glitches and some of the staff seemed less than warm, but that could've been a fluke or my perception. Don't let that deter you. I would come back for sure!“

“Excellent experience all around! The food was cooked perfectly, the drinks are great too! Right now during the Christmas season, they are decorated with wreaths and right outside is Wall Street (the closed off road with the large decorated tree, Christmas music, Santa)What we ate:Guinness Pot Roast(Outstanding comfort dish, so tender, flavorful)Finnegan Burger(Juicy, thick, cooked perfectly)Buttermilk Crispy Chicken Sandwich(Crispy, seasoned nicely, chicken cooked just right)This is a small Irish pub, there's tables(small and large), and a bar to sit at as well. They have a large assortment of beers (we had Stella and Corona), and cocktails(I had the Hot Chocolate Martini, tasted like an adult Yoohoo).Service was excellent as well, everyone is super friendly, everything came out quickly, and was cooked perfectly (even with a full house).“

I had the brushetta avocado toast w/eggs!! Delicious ?Will definitely be returning.“
“Bartender Dara was very nice and quick. 3 buck domestic and imported tap beer happy hour in small cups. Very tiny menu. I was there for an impromptu stand up comedy night. This bar has potential to be something more but falls short and is classified as a dive bar. However if you're looking for a nicely appointed dive bar, (which I enjoy) this is for you!“

“Came here with my wife for karaoke on a Friday and we had a lot of fun. Sang a couple songs and sang along with the other folks singing. They had a solid crew of locals and regulars who come just for karaoke and the regular bar crowd. Everyone was very supportive and into it. The bartender was very nice and so was the two people running the karaoke. If you want to let loose and sing some music in a supportive, judgement free atmosphere then I highly recommend the neighborhood tavern in Farmingdale.“
“Absolutely awesome Dead bar. The bar itself is made of tons of ticket stubs and the live music on the weekends is awesome. Great people, and the owner Beau is super welcoming. It was our first time and they made us feel like locals - a must go for jam band lovers.“
“My daughter had her 5th birthday party there this weekend. The was many party packages to choose from. We quickly received our drinks. The food? Well, it too a lonnnnng time, but the bartender was apologetic and kept providing us with updates.I ordered a cheeseburger with sweet potato fries and my companion ordered the shrimp tacos. “Foods good. I got the Texas toast burger... Which was good, the Texas toast part wasn't that great... Ususally I associate Texas toast with garlic butter on it.. This one was little stale no butter... Wish I got a regular bun... But the rest of it was very good. The ladies bartending was nice but they did talk amongst them self a good bit with alot of vugar and loud talk ? I think we caught them on a bad day... The bar was a fairly empty when we got there for lunch.“
“My husband and I love to eat. Tonight we branched out and tried Sea Levels. We are now loyal customers. We cannot wait to come back. Starting with the bread basket, every bite of food was stunning. The duck cakes were unforgettable— we seriously considered ordering them again for dessert. The seafood was so fresh, it still tasted effortlessly of the sea, while wallowing in sauces and gravy unlike any others. The desserts (my husband got the flourless cake, I got the apple crumble with Coyle’s Mississippi Mud Pie ice cream) were delicious. The service was excellent, our server Jackie was knowledgeable and friendly. What a gem, what a meal, we are so grateful. If you’ve never been, do yourself a favor and try it out.“

“Farrells, West islip03/13/24Found myself meeting someone at Farrells, in West Islip, this evening..They called and canceled while I was waiting for them to show up, so I ate alone ?♂️I ordered the burger my usual medium rare, with cheddar, the bun toasted, and fries extra crispy..Holy Moly, was I surprised about how good this burger is.My surprise came from me never hearing from anyone that Farrells had a good burger!!! I think Gerry Ryan let me down on this one.??And, I asked for an Old Fashioned, and was told " "they dont make them"?Irish bar, so I'll cut them some slack?☘ Fair enough, I had a Harp, which I thoroughly enjoyed, cold, crisp, and freshThe burger came to me a near perfect medium rare. Kudos to the Chef! The taste of the meat hit all my tastebud cylinders.Salty, earthy, unctuous tastes, were all there.I'm not sure what Brand Angus they use, but it's a definite winner, in my mind. You could tell they "hand press" this hamburger, in house; just from seeing, and tasting the loose structure of the meat as it sat in the bun.Not Top 5, but definitely a "Top 10" on my Burger scale? Excellent burger.Good price, as well, $15.25, with friesI think they need a new pretzel bun, but that's just one man's opinion. It wasnt bad, but...The hand cut fries were also really good...Very crispy on the outside, pillowy soft, and a prominent potatoy taste, on the inside. The service was excellent, with the busy bartenders being very efficient with their movements. Most of the tables were filled, and more than half the bar stools were filled, when I was there at 6pm, and service did not falter.Parking was relatively easy this evening at 6pm ish, as there is a parking lot behind it, and there is street parking..I have passed there when the lot was filled to capacity, and most of the close street parking was taken, and have had to park a distance away.As I was paying the bill, and complimenting the burger to the bartender, she shared that Burgers are 1/2 off on Mondays and Thursdays? They also have a lot of Happy Hour Food specials, that are on their website, like 1/2 price wings one day, $4 Taco Tuesdays, and other things I didnt pay attention to, but noted, for future reference ?Farrells of Brooklyn ,263 Higbie LaneWest IslipRight before the Higbie, Udal Rd split03/13/24“

“I don't say this too often, but Ruby Soho's is perfection! From the staff being awesome, Chris and Caitlin ((hope that's the way she spells it)) were beyond nice and professional. Always checking to see if our glasses needed to be filled or just seeing if we were still vibing. The music played is my type of tunes. Punk, Rock, and Emo... How could you go wrong?? Also the deco is raw, edgy and yet still welcoming. Surly a place you could chill for hours. They have a wide selection of beers on tap, and specialty drinks. And the food.. The food is of 5star quality. The shredded beef taco was seriously one of the best tacos I have ever had the pleasure of eating and the fried pickled jalapeños were surprisingly amazing. Far beyond what I expected... If you're in the area, I 100% say stop on in! You won't be disappointed!!“

“One of our meals the ParmeChicken Mileanase came out & the chicken was burned. I politely notified Mary Anne the floor manager of the issue. She immediately came to our table, checked the chicken & agreed it was not to her satisfaction either. She also apologized for this situation. She asked if we wanted a fresh meal which we agreed to. She went back to the kitchen & ordered a fresh plate. Our server Nicole was indisposed in the little servers room. After she was free, she came to our table & apologized. “Obsessed with updating my reviews lately, so here's another one for you. The Local has my heart and it's been a go to place to take friends and family when their in the area and back on LI. As my friend who I lunched with on Saturday said "it has a Queensy vibe" which it totally does, only you will see by the interior decor, it's proud to be on LI and I'm so happy by that. Custom subway signs referring to LI spots is what provides the decor for this place along with chalkboards showcasing the beer list. These days, when I want a beer, I don't look at the list anymore. I tell the staff what I like (usually something on the citrusy side) and I go with it. This is exactly what I did and our server did not steer us wrong. Do I know what beer I had, no...But was she spot on in her recommendation? Yes, she was! Food menu is always changing here, another thing I love, so that Cuban stuffed pretzel was a pleasant surprise when I saw it featured. We jumped at that. As you know I'm a sucker for a special and a French dip was on their special menu. I went for it and never looked back. The meat was so flavorful and the ratio of meat to cheese was perfect. The bread had the right amount of crunch and I hit it with the Old Bay fries and it's the perfect meal. Their sauces are great too, ask for roasted garlic ourthe chipotle aioli on the side. They pair amazing with any of their fries. This place really does get better each time I go. I always opt for a sandwich/burger but I'm sure anything on this menu is dynamite. Brunch is solid too.“
