Ive been to many mexican restaurants and this will ALWAYS come on top. going to Puerta Mexicana is a gift and something I always love to do with friends and family. This restaurant has opened my eyes to everything birria, and i’m never going back. The birria quesadilla is amazing and I love to get it with extra lime. The atmosphere is so cozy and decorated and i love Puerta Mexicana with all of my heart???

It's such a cute place! Small - cozy - authentic food, dun decor, extremely friendly service. Reasonable prices. There are one or two vegan options and quite a few vegetarian options. They will also customize an order. PLENTY of hot sauce options. The place is small, and the margarita flavor menu is enormous. The one drawback has nothing to do with the restaurant: the parking lot is kind of small and difficult to maneuver. Completely worth it.Parking: Maneuver carefully.

I was looking for authentic Mexican, not Texmex and this place delivered. The inside is decorated with vibrant Mexican paintings, the staff is super nice and helpful, the food came out fast. We got the chicken cutlet sandwich, green salsa enchiladas, Birria tacos and plantains. The sandwich was amazing, soft bread, crispy chicken, jalapeños, this is a must try. Birria tacos were great, messy as expected and worth it. The enchiladas came with rice and beans and they offer their sauces on the side, the homemade green salsa is great. We also got a spicy margarita and coronarita and it's huge and great!!

The place is very pretty and super clean. I even liked the service. The only reason the review is lower, I do feel like the food could have more seasoning. I ordered the shrimp fajitas. The shrimp was a bit tough. Also, I wanted flavor. The only flavor I was getting was majority from the hot sauce. Overall, the chips and salsa is to die for! Service is good too, not super expensive either!
