Ordered Uber eats and paid $21 per meal for 4 pieces of pork meat chunks and 3 tostones!!! Ridiculous! Meat was hard and smothered with onions. Alcapurria were disgusting!!! Never again!!

I don't normally write reviews but as a Puerto Rican I had to come on here and write a review because I was extremely dissatisfied and disappointed with their "Guineo en escabeche" dish.idk if the person who made this is puerto rican but I can assure you that this is not how we (puerto ricans) make this dish.I mean who the heck wants to chew on bay leaves and black pepper seeds? not me! quite frankly I don't know anyone that just wants to chew on bay leaves and actual black pepper seeds. yuck!I tried to save the dish by separating the bay leaves & black seeds from the bananas but the flavor of bay leaves and black pepper seeds overpowered the bananas so much this wasn't edible at all. I had to throw it away.Then I called the establishment to kindly let them know that this isn't even edible and the "manager's" response was "well this is how we make it and ppl like it" and I was bewildered that she would tell me that because I honestly don't know anyone that would want to chew on that.just look at the photo.

I have no idea what changed since my first visit, around four months ago, and I'm really sorry to have to write this review. I got three small orders, to go, of rice and peas with sweet plantain and six individual pasteles for a total of $60. I am a pasteles freak, especially around the holidays. Unfortunately, I finally gave up and threw them away because they were EXTREMELY SALTY. The rice had a weird taste to it that I couldn't figure out, threw most of it away as well. I'm truly sorry for this review, I do wish these guys success, but consistency, quality and service are a major part for that success. Good luck to you.

I visited this place for the first time in search of pastels. And they do have them to buy ,I was very happy because what is Christmas with out pastels in a rician house. The place is very homie cute welcoming friendly, I purchased my pastels, as well as other stuffs they were all good.i will come back.
Authentic Puerto Rican food really good. I highly recommend this place even though it's a small takeout place their food is pretty fresh in their drinks are imported directly from Puerto Rico.

We were in Lawrence/5 Towns area by Costcos, looked up Spanish food and yelp suggested it "Raíces Boriqua". Everything was great, small but homey, Staff was Kool and responsive.
