First time coming from upstate,ny with my partner’s PreBirthday surprise dinner & Drake concert and let me just say we were both impressed with your place, the attentive waitress/bartender named Arielle. The food was amazing & drinks was on point. I had the classic oxtails & my partner had the lobster tail dish. We can definitely come again.

Having frequently passed Bar Biz on my way home, I added it to my list of must-try places, especially now that I'm an Elmont resident looking to connect with my community. Upon entering, I was greeted by the cozy ambiance and my favorite reggae music playing in the background. I found a spot at the bar, although the welcome was minimal, a menu was promptly provided.The menu immediately caught my attention with its promising selection. I started with the Lychee Martini, which was delicious and well-balanced in terms of liquor and mix ratio, a tad too sweet for my taste. For my appetizer, I choose the crab and spinach dip, which was mediocre. The dish lacked seasoning, the spinach was large wilted chunks, and the crab was almost nonexistent. At $24, I felt that improved seasoning and a bit more flavor, along with finely chopped spinach and thicker chips (perhaps homemade to better complement the dish and justify the price), could elevate it significantly.For my entree, I was eager to try the curry oxtail. It was beautifully presented, and the seasoning had a nice spice kick, but the curry flavor became overwhelming after a few bites, and the rice was somewhat hard throughout the dish and the side of spinach present with the dish was tasteless with no seasoning or added any compliments to the flavor of the dish.A total of $154.00 plus tip for one.Despite these culinary hiccups, I appreciated the ambiance, decor, and especially the karaoke segment of Bar Biz. As someone passionate about food and exploring new places, I see great potential here with a few adjustments suggested by patrons. I'm certainly open to giving it another try.

The food and vibes were great!!! I had the fritters, would def order again with more sauce though. The crab and spinach dip was great, a little salty, but it was meeeaty they dont skimp on the crab. I think i ended up there on karaoke night. I ordered carryout but really wish I had of had the time to stay and dine in

It was a Birthday celebration and the owner tended to us personally. She was so attentive and made our visit a true pleasure. The curry oxtails is one of the signature dishes and it did not disappoint. I was in the mood for steak, and I'm so glad I was. Our party had different dishes like the Elmont pasta (a play on Rasta Pasta), traditional oxtails, and of course my steak. It was my first time and the vibe was nice, the decor was soothing and the music created a nice ambiance for a wonderful evening. I'll be back.

The reviews listed for this location are utterly disrespectful. I was looking for a place to go with my best friend in her area, and I saw on TikTok. This place had the vibe and food and drinks we were looking for. I went to Yelp to read the reviews and it was a three star rating. I was a little concerned, but when I read the reviews they didn't really describe the food and the complaints were of things that to me were silly. I want to make it very clear. The food here is phenomenal. The drinks are amazing and strong and the service was exceptional Ariel, the bartender was kind and attentive And the people at the place were incredibly welcoming. We went during karaoke on a Friday and it was 10 out of 10 don't miss out. We ordered the mussels, the crab, spinach dip, and a pasta with Ox tails . Everything was amazing.
