I had a very disappointed experience here. I went in for scallops and crab legs but decided not when these were presented as blocks of ice, having been deep frozen for what looked like a loooong time. Instead, I opted for a bag of mussels in one of the front cases. These seemed safe enough. But as these began to defrost on the way home, over half the bag's shells had opened (not good) and it smelled horribly like rotting fish. Throwing them out, I noticed that the expiration date on the tag was 3 weeks over! I wanted to give them a bit of grace since it must be hard to maintain a fresh seafood inventory over the summer during a pandemic, but it felt like they were being purposefully shady about the condition of their stock. I definitely wouldn't go back there.

I visited this fish market with a client. It was very clean. Although, it is a fish market it did not smell like one which is definitely cool.
