I'm not sure what happened recently but unfortunately this bakery is not what it was. A few times now I have bought bread and pastries here and they are stale. I've nicely mentioned this to the staff and they mention the items were made that day and refuse to help the situation. Additionally, they do not take credit cards which is a little bit of a hassle. Again, this was one of my favorite bakeries but I'll be taking my service elsewhere.

They will sell you stale bread and pastries. Save yourself the time and do not go here. Staff was rude and unprofessional. Very disappointed considering this is a close knit community.

Extremely rude and racial profiling, if you are not from Belle harbor they treat you like a ghost

During my late teenage years my baby sister worked here afterschool so you know this was totally nostalgic for me to be passing by the area early on an Easter morning ride back from NJ. As I got closer I called because it was a holiday and absolutely delighted to be helped on such a beautiful day in the neighborhood. **They are cash only** Several cars were doubled parked towards the end of the block picking up flowers so I parked a few doors down and stepped inside. They had a beautiful tray of assorted pastries which I failed to take a photo of and I just HAD to have it. It had cannoli, cheese cake, cream puffs the works! I was looking for a birthday cake for my Puerto Rican granny and chose an Oreo cake over a strawberry shortcake and surprisingly I did not get clobbered over the head by my mother lol. She looked unpleased when I removed it from the box but when she ate it. I was like bang boom TOUCHDOWN! She said it was soft and moist and fluffy and light. The chocolate had the perfect amount of sweetness I must agree. Plus I already won when I brought home some Easter bread for the family to share. The only comment I got there was why didn't I buy a bigger loaf. I bought a cute little slipper shaped one with one egg and they had many options which was great. I see folks were coming in and out for cappuccinos and if I wasn't already wire from an early morning drive I would have Indulged. The cake was $25, the tray $20 and the Easter bread was about $10 if I can recall. I had 3 baby shower cakes from here 17 years ago and that's how good they were then. Super happy to see them still thriving and pumping out the good stuff. Only thing I will say is what's with the writing? I was hoping for classic script and the weekend crew gave me a very scribble "Gramma" in red. My family was like why did they spell it like that. Me- I was shocked like who buys a cake and doesn't look at it after they put in the writing was I in Lala land or what. Next time I'll check.

There are a few issues here. I’ve been going to this place for a while now, and I could never understand why their pastries aren’t labeled. Would be nice to know what the items were called instead of pointing to what I want. Not only that, but there aren’t any prices on anything. And the most annoying kicker is you have to pay with cash. They don’t do cards in there.

We got a whole array of pastries and everybody loved what they got. We'll be back!

Best double fudge chocolate cake ever.

The customer service is not good. I ordered a cake a few days before my birthday. The day before the party they said they won’t make it and to go to a different bakery.

This is my favorite Italian bakery, bar none! The baked goods like the cakes and pastries are delicious. I especially like the chocolate fudge cake, when it isn't sold out! But the prize thing is their pignoli nut cookies. The best I've EVER tasted. They aren't cheap, but are certainly worth every penny. My friends down outside Philly in Gladwyne PA, at the Henry Botanical Gardens, have come to expect a care package of these cookies whenever I drive down to see them. Thanks Maria!
