Absolutely not. Waited an hour and a half for what ended up being a monstrous bowl of bland, watery Kraft mac n' cheese with some pork, three literal pieces of tiny ribs, and some cold, freezer bag fries. Felt bad for the waiter/host who was pouring sweat running back and forth having to tell people they were out of everything. At that point, with no bartender, no food, and a bunch of customers laughing at the ridiculousness of it all, just close it up or keep it at drafts and finger food because this was absurd.

The ONLY good thing about this place was the bartender/waiter was friendly. I will never go back, food was terrible. There was no service actually. Waited for 1 hour for the food and it was cold.Parking: There is none.

Hard to believe that this place mentions it had any type of association with Swingbelly's in Long Beach. Placed a pickup order on a recent early Sunday afternoon and was told to come pick it up in 15 min. Knowing that it's football season, decided to give them an extra 10 min. grace period. Got there and was told just another 5 more min. The 5 min. turned into 15, then 20 then 30 min. Did I mention, there were only 6 people in the place at the bar and a table of 2 diners. Now for the depressing part. 1 Appetizer of 6 Smoked Wings, so dried out, was like eating saw dust. 3 Brisket Sandwich orders, one drier then next. 2 orders of Mac & Cheese with Burnt Ends; the cheese so congealed that reheating it still required a pneumatic jackhammer to break through. The burnt ends, non-existent. 1 Large Side of Cole Slaw was just about the only edible component of the meal. Either I got the previous nights unsold stock or there was no one in the Kitchen that actually gave a crap what was being sent out. Anyway, best advice is unless they are comping your meal, it's probably best to avoid the food and maybe stick to the drinks, but I wouldn't know about the bar service.

This place looked/sounded promising and ended up being very disappointing. We had ordered a half rack pork ribs with mashed potatoes, the Mac n Meat. Taste over all was very bland, especially the Mac and cheese, The ribs were cooked well but lacked in flavor, and half of the ribs ended up being super fatty and inedible. Mashed potatoes were very dry, the BBQ sauce was alright, I've had better, especially for the prices. Overall super disappointed.

Their nachos were tortillas with melted American cheese on it and house chili, some parts were cold. We ordered an added protein on the nachos, it didn't come out, we ordered sauce on our wings and they weren't sauced and frankly once we got it they were actually worse not better. Half of the drinks we ordered from the menu weren't available, not out of stock just not available anymore, and they didn't update the menu to put the correct stuff on there. The only pleasant surprise was the music, the band that was there looked like a bunch of retirees and we were ready for them to be the cherry on top, but they actually were good, just kept getting feedback on their equipment so loud it hurt our ears. The food used to be better, but I guess whoever had that magic touch is gone now....

Went inside to sit down for dinner. Was told restaurant was closed for a private party. Possibly a sign should have been posted on the door

I hadn't been to the restaurant since the beginning of the pandemic, when scene was still bustling and I wondered if they even heard that there was something happening all around. Prior to that I had eaten there once and ordered a few times. So when I had a taste for some of what I remembered as their AWESOME burnt-ends chili I headed there, (bypassing another bbq place btw). Well to say that the experience was sad is a huge understatement! The number I called seemed like a personal one & went to vm, called back, someone answered and took the order. I thought it a little strange, but still headed over. Before I arrived a woman called and said that they were out of cornbread and I could get something else to go with chili so I said coleslaw. The door leading in had Blue painter's tape on it, I thought huh must be getting to that this week, then I walked in and saw that it looked quite a bit more shabby than I'd remembered. I figured that they must be still recovering from the pandemic, but remained hopeful about the food. No staff was around so one of bar patrons when to alert them that I was there. Person came back and said that they were packing it up. Therewere no dinners btw, just bar patrons and I didn't see any food being eaten. Before I took the bag and tried to pay I was informed that they were also out of slaw so I was given french fries to go with chili and told the food was discounted because I had to call her bosses phone (ah that explains it I thought), because the phones were down. I pull out my debit cars and she said that she couldn't process anything. Thankfully I had a little cash to pay something. Even though I paid so little it really wasn't worth much more. The "dryrub" whole chicken wings lacked flavor, weren't tender and the sauce that I had added little. The chili was the biggest disappointment, it was a shadow of what it once was and made me hope that I wouldn't get sick because I now questioned the freshness. As my mom would say, there was no love in the food! I'm writing this in the hope that the owner would hunt down all the various grant money, call Food Network's Robert Irvine or do something to help this establishment! I just felt sad, sad, sad for the place that I was excited to have as part of the Rockaway experience. RBQ if you start to care about your food again send something out to the peninsula otherwise I don't have a reason to go back...tragic!

Nice bar. Only drank here, because I came the day after Memorial day 2022. It was so busy the day before in Far Rockaway Beach, that EVERYWHERE we went, there was no food on Tuesday; everyone ran out! I will try the food next time.

Great atmosphere and the food is really good portion size too. I would definitely go back

Not a great place but not the worst place i've been to. Ordered Truffle fries, the BLVD. Burger, Mac and Cheese and Country Chicken. The truffle fries were very undercooked. The burger tasted like a diner burger. The mac and cheese was very watery and kinda just weird. The chicken sandwich was the best out of them all but still not great. The place was empty and still the waiter took forever. Sat us but didn't bring us menus or silverware or waters. Food was bad and service was very bad. I honestly wouldn't recommend the place. Only a place for drinking.

The food has really declined, been here many times over the years. The fried pickles were under cooked. The chicken was blah(no smoke flavor at all) and the rib tips with mac n cheese outright sucked. Other then that the beer was cold and the soda was flat. Place should be a dive bar and not advertised as a restaurant. Food actually sucked, won't be back. Wouldn't recommend.
