A very large restaurant with an inviting bar scene with high chairs and booths upon entry. The main dining hall is towards the back of the restaurant, and you'll see Frida Kahlo inspired portraits throughout. Ordered a couple of drinks, Calamari, and Chorizo as the appetizer, Carne Asada and Dos Carne for the main courses. The calamari was great. The skirt steak was a bit chewy by nature, but the best part was the short ribs, which was tear off the bone tender, juicy, and delicous.

Very nice Mexican restaurant with great food and drink. Their tequila selection is pretty wide and well. Service was very friendly and attentive as well. The table side guacamole is a must-have. The potion was so big that I ended up taking half of it home. They have spacious indoor dining area and also few outside seating as well.

*UPDATE* below reviewAt the suggestion of my step sons Spanish teacher (thank you Ms Whitney) we went to CaraCara for dinner, just happened to be St Patricks day. We ordered 2 appetizers, the calamari y chorizo, delish, perfectly cooked and tender, we also order the pollo tamales, I'm not a mole fan so had them remove it. I want you to know, this is no ordinary tamale, I would call it deconstructed, the corn masa was the consistency of polenta rather than the dense consistency one normally thinks of for tamles with a hint of sweetness. The chicken was marinated and cooked to perfection, shredded atop the corn masa sprinkled with cheese and fresh cilantro. I've eaten tamales from Arizona to New York and these are my absolute favorite. Chef's kiss to the creator of this menu item! For our main coarse we ordered carne tampiquena and dos carnes. My stepson had the carne tampiquena, cooked well done. The skirt steak was tender, juicy and full of flavor, additionally the portion serving of steak was more than adequate. I had the dos carnes, the short rib was full of flavor, fork tender and simply delicious. Unfortuneately my rib had a large portion of fat on the inside that was about 40% of the size of the rib, the skirt steak was medium rare and again delicious, however, with this dish I feel the portion size was a little lacking. They serve the rice and beans "family style" in what I would guess are 1 1/2 cup crocks, it was plenty for us but if the rest of my family were there, it wouldn't have been enough. I didn't have any drinks this night but the drink menu looks wonderful. Overall, I love this place and will surely be back to try other menu items and of course my new favorite.UPDATE:I enjoyed the Pollo tamale so much I went back 2 days later and ordered one to go. While the portion size for dine-in was enough for both my step son and I, sadly the take out version did not live up to my expectations. It looked rushed in its construction, missing the cheese and barely any of that wonderful corn masa I enjoyed so much previously.Dietary restrictions: They have several gluten free and vegitarian items available.Parking: It may have been busier than normal since it was St. Patricks day.

Delicious food and drinks always! I really love coming here - margaritas are excellent, and anything on the menu with chicken and chihuahua cheese won’t disappoint you!Everything’s always clean, service is always friendly, and food is always delicious. Sometimes food can be a BIT dry but that’s okay. They really don’t disappoint! I don’t have any food pictures bc I scarf it down so fast.

Whish I could give them 0 stars. Waaaayyyy overpriced for the least authentic or even flavorful Mexican food I've ever had. Drinks were also bad.

Margaritas were a tequila lemonade , queso fundido was actually fire, tacos sucked so bad we brought them home to give to the squirrels. Waiter was a sweet man tho poor kid .

Great local place with not so usual Mexican fare. Service is always good. Excellent white sangria and mojitos ...

It was our first time and it definitely lived up to the reviews I read! My husband and a friend of ours absolutely loved it from beginning with warm and lightly salted chips and delish salsas (one red and one verde), then table side guacamole, that was expertly prepared and perfectly seasoned by our wonderful waitress (and bartender), Kerry! We enjoy straight tequila, and Caracara has a wide variety of choices for reasonable prices. Hurray! My husband started with a fantastic, rich chicken and tortilla soup. I tasted it and made him leave leftovers so I could have some today (just heated and enjoying while writing this - it was just as delicious as yesterday!). Our friend swooned over his Res a la Plancha (similar to fajita) - he can't wait to go back. I had shrimp tacos - perfectly cooked and seasoned with great textures and flavor. Yum! After having his soup, hubby had a salad and chicken breast which was simple and great! Our meals came with a side of black beans and rice. Perfection! All leftovers came home - not a scrap left on the plate! We will most definitely be going back!!! ❤️

A solid place for Mexican food. Nice atmosphere for a semi-casual/casual dinner. Parking can be tough to find for free.

Went for dinner there with friends, had appetizers and dinner with a couple of drinks. The appetizers were good, dinner was ok, definitely overpriced IMO but the service was very good. Plenty of parking available but it's no longer free.

I just realized I only post about the places I really love! CaraCara is one of these places ?. Somehow, last Sunday, the two of us managed to spend $170, including tax and a nice tip... but we were there 2.5 hours and polished off four drinks, guacamole for two (twice!!), shared the fish taco appetizer, and two entrees. There were less expensive options, of course, and we usually don't spend nearly that much. ? But this was a special occasion. While the margarita was strong, the sangria was very weak...usually it's much better. We always go early at 4:30 so we can get a booth. Our waiter was great. Bathrooms always clean. Ambiance overall, quite nice.Vegetarian options: Cheese, beans, vegetables, corn. I eat their fish dishes, too.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access in front and back (by parking lot) entrances. Accessible bathrooms but not as wide inner cubicles as some other places.

I really wanted to love this place. It was my second go. Love the decor and ambiance of the restaurant. Staff greeted us warmly. Great menu options. However, soup was lacking flavor and was served cold. The tacos, the rice, almost everything we ordered just left much to be desired. Just feels like there's no seasoning or love in the food.
