I first had their delicious Portuguese rolls at Taormina Restaurant & Pizzeria in Commack & just had to ask where they were from. Even though the bakery is a bit out of the way, it was worth the drive for not only the Portuguese rolls but the person who was helping me recommended the rice pastry which was delicious. I have been coming to this bakery for YEARS and it's my go-to for any need. Not only are their pastries, breads and cakes fantastic, they serve espresso, hot food and juices that are great as well. I love to come here for a quick bite. A good alternative if you want to try something from a different culture than the classic Italian bakeries they have around. Friendly staff even if you don't speak Portuguese as well :)

I love this place. It's such a delight each time I come here. The bakery items are delicious and I love the torta mista any time of the day (make sure to ask for it on the Portuguese bread). I also recommend the chorizo bread if you want something very savory. And you can't go wrong with their Pasteis de nata. When I bring a mix of their baked goods to the office people go nuts for it.
