I've been going here for years, and always loved it, but I was so disappointed last night. Myself and friends went for dinner, the "fried calamari" was so weird , just some brown looking soft rings, I asked the waitress and was informed others had asked the like. Sent it back. Then the main course... open roast beef sandwich and 2 prime rib dinners. Don't know where they are getting their meat now, but "roast beef" sent back and what was supposed to be prime rib was cut up for dogs. I guess another one bites the dust! So many food establishments are skimping because of the economy or going out of business. Very sad.

Love this place. Clean and very fast service. I stop every time I pass it on business trips.. I always send picture of front to my family and they are always jealous I am getting to eat there. I always get two quarts of matzo ball soup to take home for the family and they love it. Awesome place!

Rocky mountain omelet knocked my socks off - but eat too many and you'll be singing with the angels. We had been to 84 diner many years and and it was ...meh...especially considering 2 excellent choices near by (Yankee Clipper and Red Line) Enough time has passed that it worth a revisit. The platter has 3 eggs, sausage, peppers, onions & cheese - a side of hash brown potatoes (extra crispy for me) and a ladle of sausage gravy over the top. It was delicious! But heart attack city. I g I wasn't hungry again until 630 at night. Yes you should eat this and then go either hike a mountain or take a nap.
