Very disappointed in Buttercooky and their poor customer service. Bought a strawberry shortcake, which we normally love, but it tasted old, like it had been sitting on the shelf for a few days-cake was soggy, strawberries unfresh and cream was clumpy. Went back with the cake to request a refund. I was turned down flatly. The manager denied that they ever sell unfresh cake, and admonished me for not bringing back the eaten portions in the box as well. Also, referenced their “no refunds” sign throughout exchange, as if something written on a piece of paper has to be the law of the land. Whatever happened to old fashioned customer service? Very dissatisfied. I will not be patroning Buttercooky again.

Ordered my son's 1st birthday cake from here and we were not disappointed! It was Toy Story themed, we sent them pictures of what we wanted and they definitely delivered. The cake had style and substance. Everyone at our party couldn't stop raving about how good the blue velvet cake was! It wasn't too sweet at all and was the perfect ending treat to our event. Will definitely think of Buttercooky again for our next event! Highly recommend their red and blue velvet cakes. (Not a fan of buttercream frosting to begin with so I didn't like their other cakes that didn't have cream cheese frosting). It was on the pricier side, but I think it's not far off from what other bakeries will charge you. Thanks again Buttercooky for brining our (son's) dream cake to life! The staff was excellent, very prompt in replying to our emails and questions.

It is by far the worst customer service you can get. They ruined the lettering on a cake and absolutely refused to make it right. Waited on phone for 40 min. No answer. Went and spoke to manager and they made up stuff. When I asked for them to check the security cameras from 48 hours ago they said they had no access to it. Utter nonsense and lies when I had photos and evidence to prove it while being polite and kind about it. Food might be decent but they care nothing for repeat customers.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. I purchased a custom 10” round cake for $212 ! for a baby shower and it was TERRIBLE, VERY DRY and was as though it was frozen and then taken out. Upon calling them they wanted me to return the cake!!!! It was already cut and NOT EDIBLE. They had me go there with a small piece and proceeded push me around like a yo-yo. The manager Ruth was RUDE, NOT HELPFUL and began speaking in Spanish as though I didn’t understand and rolling her eyes. They wanted to give me a $20 Credit to the bakery! And told me to come back when the boss is here but they didn’t know when he would be thereDO NOT ORDER CUSTOM CAKES FROM THERE

My favorite bakeries in the area! This is my go-to when I want to get desserts for someone or when visiting with people. They have the best fruit tarts and many other delicious pastries! The buttercookies are heavenly too!

I ordered a birthday cake weeks in advance. Upon pick up they had my boyfriend waiting as they stated “we can’t find the cake”. Pick up was for 10:00 and we didn’t receive the cake until 10:43. I called the store and asked what was going on and was told the “manager was handling it”. No apology or any concern in the voice of the worker. I believe the cake was hurriedly made in the back. I was charged 50$ for a 30$ cake that was falling apart. I emailed the store and was told it was my fault and wouldn’t be receiving a refund and now no one is responding to me. The staff and is incompetent and lacks bare communication skills along with lackluster items, I had better from the local supermarket. It was all for a special someone’s birthday that this bakery damaged. Go else where!

I used to have to travel to NYC for my La Columbe coffee- now I have the pleasure of drinking it every morning at Buttercooky! The staff is so friendly and helpful, they always treat us like family. The owner Benny always greets us with a big smile & always has something new and delicious for us to sample. Cynthia is the queen of the espresso machine, I reccomend trying her cortado! I feel so fortunate to have them in my neighborhood & can't wait to see what new treats they come out with next.

I've enjoyed buying cakes here over the years. Recently I ordered 35 cupcakes for my daughter's class on her birthday & the frosting was bitter. When I contacted them, they informed me that no matter what color I choose, the frosting will be bitter. If every other bakery has figured out a way to give kids cupcakes with colorful frosting that are not bitter, Butter Cooky can do it, too. 35 unhappy kids and no apologies. Terrible experience.
