Ordered take out for lunch. Got zucchini and potatoes cakes that were tasteless and greasy. Spinach pie also greasy and tasteless. Salad was overwhelmed with cheese. Only good thing was lemon potatoes. Paid $40 and it was horrible. So disappointed

Definitely give this place a visit if you're a fan of greek cuisine or seafood in general. The menu is moderately sized but has great variety and offers mainstays like hamburgers, buffalo wings and salads for less adventurous eaters. There's a surprisingly large amount of guest seating for such a seemingly small location, and yet it still maintains a lovely intimate atmosphere. And, if you can, I recommended you splurge a little on the drink menu; they've got a small but delicious selection there, too.

Worst ever was told 30 minutes for pick up and waited an hour in the store to no avail. Empty restaurant with no staff on Mother's Day. I should have known better- had to pick one star , if only zero stars was an option. I feel sorry for the kids they left in charge tonight. Total disaster

Not authentic. Grilled octopus was good. However, the slice of feta on the horiatiki salad was paper thin; keftedes were huge, covered in sauce and cold; shrimp saganaki was just shrimp in tomato sauce with feta sprinkled on top. Sorry but thats not how these diahes are supposed to be. Malbec wine was delicious!

Lets start by rating the service, it was Excellent, very kind and and friendly. Their food was Very Very good, appetizers were very tasty and good portions, for example the octopus and the baked clams were great, very fresh. Main courses were unbelievable they were very freshhhh and had an excellent flavor. The skirt steak and CODfish are amazing. Definitely coming back. I had such a good experience.

Service here is always with a smile and drinks are on point too. Too bad I didn't take any pictures . If your in the neighborhood give this place a try , you won't regret it.

I love going here every time I come up to NY to visit family. Took my friend who is Greek and he really liked the food too. Soo good! Love the vegetable pasta, garlic aioli, shaved lamb gyros, lemon soup. I’m a big fan!

We had Saturday lunch here with two families, ages 3 to 55. The manager there was so kind and accomodating. This was our first experience there and I will be back. The food portions were large. We ordered three different spreads, salad with chicken, the branzino, chicken kebab platter and the spinach pie. Everything was enjoyed and we felt well taken care of. Thank you!

I called ahead of time and ordered a large salad, spinach pie and zucchini cakes. We came 20 min later and waited FOREVER for our food and they weren't busy at all. They come out and tell me it's 50$! On the phone I asked the woman to throw in a little side of tzatziki sauce for the pita bread that I assumed would come with a large salad but no. She charged me 10$ for a huge thing of tzatziki which I did not need. She then told me that's the only size they have. How does a Greek place not have little sides of tzatziki on hand? I told her to forget it. I get home and there's no pita that comes with a large salad which is ridiculous. I wouldn't even call it a salad, it's just roughly chopped vegetables (that had brown spots) thrown together. I was expecting finely diced vegetables in some sort of marinade. There was no tzatziki topped on the zucchini cakes as the menu stated and they tasted so bad I wouldn't eat it for free. This is a place that does the absolute bare minimum and charges as much as they can get away with. They dont care about quality of food or their customers. We didn't eat the food and called and they gave us a refund. I'm honestly grossed out by this place and it's sad how little they care about quality. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Oh boy, what to say. lets start with the bad. so first thing is I ordered, and the guy who picked up the phones english and knowledge of the menu (probably due to his english) was bad, he mixed up our sides and told me they had pork gyro and when I ordered it I got pork souvlaki which was not what I wanted. Delivery time was exactly what you should expect (under an hour) and price was normal given how crazy stuff has gotten with covid. so why 4 stars?? the gyro was good, seasoned nicely, pitas where good too, not dry and not soggy. The French fries were covered in flour and spices which I like, and the steak we got (strip steak platter) was one of the best 20 dollar steaks I have had. I guess the items are hit and miss, but if what you want is a gyro sandwich this place definitely fits the bill, and you should try the steak, it was really much better then expected at that price point.

This was my family's first take out restaurant after a long and depressing COVID hibernation in 2021. From what I remember it was good. I recently ordered take out and got a chicken slouvaki platter with lemon potatoes and house salad and a Mediterranean falafel platter with sweet potato fries and Greek salad. The chicken and lemon potatoes were bland and the falafel was more like mini veggie burgers. I have never had falafel made with tomatoes and beans. Sadly, this was also bland. The only saving grace was the garlic aoli and the balsamic vinaigrette. I was dipping everything in them.....hence the one star for the sauces.

We dined on a weekday, we were the only ones. The pita bread and dip were great..but zucchini cakes were meh.! Tried the lamb gyro sandwich, the wife tried the chicken souvlaki..portions were huge, but overall bland for my Indian palate which is expected, I have had more flavorful souvlaki in Athens so comparing with that. Overall would rate it 3 stars.

Seafood is my favourite and Greek cuisine at Pita Park Tavern offers more than seafood. There are much more choises than I can image. Moreover,I like the atmosphere of Greek music and Greek style decoration as well.
