When I transfer in New York after a business trip, I take Uber and have breakfast. There is a lot of sundaeguk and it is delicious when eaten with salted shrimp, radish radish, and pickled onions! I recommend it.

During my trip, I was craving Korean food, so I ate the sundae soup set and soft tofu stew, and it was even more delicious than Korea! I really enjoyed it! Grilled sundae is the best!?

It's an old-fashioned style soup with a spicy taste. It's not bad, but the service... It's the worst. The table was drinking, cursing, and screaming, and there was no restraint, so it was unpleasant throughout the meal. I ordered soup, but the rice came out 10 minutes later. They say it's late because it's stone-cooked rice, but it's not stone-cooked rice. All services are slow... The lady who served food alone seemed to be having a hard time. I have no intention of visiting again!

The server, a middle-aged woman with yellow hair and heavy makeup, greets customers individually, doesn't even look at takeout customers, and the first thing she says is, "What did you pay for?" she asked without any sense... (I had already paid the other friendly server) I hope the owner sees it. Perhaps because of this person, the reviews regarding the taste are bad. All of the reviews are unanimous in saying they are fierce and unfriendly. This is my first time seeing someone in such a bad mood.

Just tried this restaurant but definitely going back when I'm craving for soupy rice dishes! They close at 12am too for those who need late night food after drinks! Pretty far out but if you're in the area the food is really good and warming. I got the soondae with extra meat soup bowl which actually comes with way more than expected since my set was only $14. The soup itself is rich but bland, this is when you add the salt, fermented shrimp, etc that are on the side at every table. It was amazing, hit the spot for me since I've been craving it all winter. Soondae was also interesting, first time seeing carrots and spinach in them. We ordered the mix rice and it's my first time seeing them actually serve the remaining stuck rice soaked in water. It's literally just that so not so sure how ppl eat them, but we were already suuuuuper full. Didn't get to eat much of that sadly.Place is actually pretty big, open and clean. The only reason why this place is a 4 star and not 5 is bc of the service. We weren't greeted right away as the waitress walked past us. After 2 min of her walking around past us getting stuff for others, she asked how many ppl are we. She didn't say anything, just grabbed the menus and placed them on the table. Didn't tell us to follow her, or told us to sit at this table, and no eye contact so it was quite confusing. My friend asked for the alcohol menu and the server was confused what she meant. I just asked for the makgeolli and she knew what we wanted. (It's nice they server makgeolli with the traditional cups! They maintain the temp of the drink longer) I guess you can point at the clear glass fridge with the drinks if you're having difficulty. BUT! With the food being good, I don't mind service being a little on the less-catering side. I'm Chinese so usually that's how you know food is good lol. Not entirely offended by the attitude, just slightly off-putting and the food made up for it.PRO TIP IF YOU'VE MADE IT THIS FAR. For those who like to roam around supermarkets, this restaurant is actually located right across the bigger Hmart! So you can visit Hmart right after your meal! They also sell the makgeolli cup there. I bought one right after my meal!
