The owners have opened a new restaurant called Joy Hing on Jericho Turnpike in Garden City.

I adore this restaurant! They have sensational food, their menu is large, The chief cook in that spot is very experienced, I love a lot eating all their food. The food is consistently of high class, the service towards the visitors is agreeable. I frequently visit this restaurant and I not even once was unhappy. I recommend it with no hesitation.

Chinese and Sushi? YES!! (My Mom doesn't eat sushi so finding a place with both can be hard). I ordered using Seamless(and they arrive much quicker than the app says) The sushi was excellent(and kept separate from the hot Chinese food per my instructions). I found the sauce on the Spare Ribs to be too sweet for my taste. The egg roll was excellent, far less greasy than I've experienced from other restaurants. The Shrimp Lo Mein was extremely good as well. The Pork Fried Rice was a little dry for me. I had to add soy sauce and I usually only have to do that if I re-heat leftovers. So I probably wouldn't get that item again. But I recommend Dragon Express for Sushi and Chinese together.

I moved from Great Neck and the thing I miss most about it is Dragon Express. I don't know how people have given such low stars. I am picky when it comes to food like super picky. It isn't that I don't enjoy many foods, I do, I am just picky in how it is prepared and how it tastes and I have no issue saying something is bad when it is bad. Dragon Express is a small, typical in many ways Chinese food place in NY. It isn't the decor or the ambiance of the place that makes it good it is entirely the food and the people who own the restaurant that make it special. I never ever had an issue with my food not being good and the restaurant was always clean when I went in there. I once ordered food and was short an item and they brought me the item plus others while also telling me to let them know for next time. They took two items off my bill the next time I ordered. I ordered from them once a week or so during my time living in Great Neck and when I was leaving and told them about my move they were genuinely upset and sent food again that I was not charged for. I do not know the old man who always delivered my food, but he was as nice as nice could be anytime he dropped off food and when saying goodbye for his last delivery to me was genuinely sad. I know this seems silly to care about so much, but communities are built around silly little acts of kindness and although they seem trivial these things matter. If you have never tried their food, try them out and if you had a rough experience once, give it another shot with them. Keep in mind this is a pandemic we are living through, people's minds are all over the place. They are good people who make good food at a reasonable price, they deserve people's business as much as anyone I know. Five stars, wish I could have them open up in Holbrook near me because I would order right away again.

Food was not fresh at all. The wonton dumplings were hard on the inside, the green jade vegetable was missing snow peas, as the menu read was included with string beans & broccoli. The broccoli & string beans were so under cooked. Unhappy, won't be returning.

We decided to give this place a try. It got 4 stars on Yelp. How???? I have no idea. We waited for an hour and half for delivery, which we understood due to limited options around for ordering Chinese food since the Whole Covid19 situation. Food is seriously mediocre. On top, one of the entree (chicken & broccoli combo) had a strand of hair in the pork friend rice. It is horrible. I do not recommend this place. It is unfortunate, I usually give great reviews to places I've dined in or ordered from....

Place is great! Food is amazing and the service is even better. From the delivery driver to the owners they all work very hard to bring great Chinese and sushi to Douglaston!!!

Found a package tie in my mouth after 2nd bite. Disgusting. Also, the entire food was way too salty. Had to throw the whole things out. The chicken wings were tiny n cut in half weirdly. Grubhub attempted to call them but no response. So many good reviews online i am shocked.

The food is always good and cooked in front of you so you know it’s fresh! Ask for different flavor sauces too.

The beef was very chewy. Fried rice was good.

We ordered for delivery. So I can't say anything about environment etc. I ordered sesame chicken as I saw in a recommendation wasn't bad but wasn't the best I ever tried either, it came with pork rice which I didn't like as it was greasy and a small roll that was delicious. I had for appetizer a California roll that came with something spicy, it was $5 and wasn't worth it. My husband ordered a egg foo young and wasn't worthy! However the boneless pork ribs were very good. The chicken fried rice I would say is about average So, is not a bad Chinese - American option. Would do recommend if is a nearby place for you or easy delivery, However would keep trying others options.
