Bought two cakes for my moms birthday I got taro and chestnut both cakes had moldy fruit. They didn’t even show me the cakes when i picked it up. Purposely wrapped up the box so i didn’t see the fruit on top had mold.

Fay Da Bakery always offer consistent food quality and almost the same variety of food offering for years. However, they should offer different menu options from time to time... Overall, Fay Da Bakery offers affordable, convenient, and quick food offering.

The pastries here are absolutely amazing! So soft and has a perfect blend of sweetness. Wish I lived closer so I could splurge in these goodies whenever I want.

Only had the milk tea from here so I won't comment on the bread. The milk tea was 3.75, which is an exceptional price, but was almost a warning sign. If something is too cheap, it might be too good to be true. As suspected it was, the tea was insanely milked down and sugared down. The tea had little to no flavour, and there wasn't enough ice to keep it cold for more than 30 minutes. Overall super disappointing.

Food (3/5): Got sweet topping custard bun, coconut cream bun, and large iced milk tea. The buns were delicious especially the bread components which has a nice crispy sweet flavor. The iced milk tea however was really bad. It tasted like cheap tea mixed in with a bunch of sugar. The flavor was so bad that we ended up just throwing it out. Service (3/5): Not particularly friendly service but they processed our purchase with minimal issue. We also were using a gift card and had no issues with it. Ambiance (3/5): The store looks outdated and not the cleanest but there is a decent area to sit and eat with a bunch of tables.

I love theirs PO LO CHAR SIU buns. The bun is very soft and the meat is very moist and tasty. I couldn't find the same buns in LA . Fay Da bakery offers very reasonable price too. I definitely will return to this store if I am in NYC.

This review is solely based on one item as a first time patron.I stumbled upon this Bakery while starving waiting for a reservation at another establishment. Planned on getting a small pastry to hold me over. Ended up getting a chicken puff pastry. It was amazingly warm, flaky and flavorful. The right balance of spices and onion making this roll the ultimate in what I would want as comfort food. The chicken tasted like it had been cooking in a pot on a stove all day and sprinkled with love. Priced at $2.75 you can't go wrong. If I hadn't had reservations, I would've bought ALL the chicken rolls and called it a day. Everything there looked delicious and fresh. I can't wait to go back and try everything else. Sadly no pictures as I devoured it on the street.

Purchased a Black Forest cake slice, that went moldy after 2 days despite placing it in the fridge an hour after purchasing. Wondering how long do they actually keep the slices on display... could be over a week.

One of the few places that I can still find coconut raisin bread! They also have many other choices to chose from. Highly recommend going early before they sell out on the popular items!

There is a variety of affordable snacks at this bakery as well as drinks. Some are delicious and others are not to my liking, so obviously it will be a hit or miss but my favorite are their steamed buns. Omg they're so soft with delicious fillings like mushroom and egg custard. They're less than $3 so very affordable which I like. They have a $10 cash minimum but honestly there are so many things you can buy that you won't have any trouble reaching that minimum. A classic bakery all around NYC and I'll always be a fan.

Thanks god they start taking card payments. Mango mousse cake is favorite from there and the vanilla cake. Good snack maker.

Would not buy this drink even for $0.01. The aftertaste felt like thirty ants crawling on my tongue
