If this restaurant is at anywhere else not in Flushing, I wouldn't be so strict and picky. However, since it's in Flushing, the very Chinese town, its food quality is bad compared with its many competitors.I am a quite experienced eater for Chinese cuisine, actually I am a Chinese. I tried their fish head. It's fat in meat, which indicates the fish is not a good species, which means its cheap fish. So it doesn't deserve the price.I also don't like the atmosphere. The decoration is low. When i ate there, another table had several people eating and chatting, but the way too loud and disturbing. I know its Chinese people communication style but please consider other people's privacy and show respect.

This is one of my favorite authentic Chinese food places. Every time I am in Flushing, I visit this place. My favorite dish is the spicy sate frog. It's a dish that you have to try. Every other dishes we have tried are all very good. The salmon sashimi is also amazing; the freshness of the fish just taste so good when coupled with good wine. They do have really good red wine here as well. This is a place that many of the local millionaires dine and throw party at. Had opportunity to join a few of them and they were amazing experiences, especially the food and the wine. The restaurant is very small and space is very tight. The staff there only speak Chinese. This is not a place to sit and relax and enjoy the food. But, a very busy and vibrant location. It is a place to enjoy food at a party style. Restroom is not very clean as typical Chinese restaurants. Parking is very limited as expected in Flushing. But, I would go back just for the food.

The free lotus root appetizer was good. My favorite dish is the Sauteed Potato Green Pepper & Eggplant 地三鮮 and one of the tofu dishes, maybe it was Tofu in Hot Plate or Tofu with Shrimp. Good food, good service, and good prices.

Really good Hunan food for really good price, can't beat the $5.50 lunch specials either. This joint rest off the main roads and can be easily missed if you don't look hard enough in Flushing food haven.

This incredible restaurant is for Chinese food lovers that has an appreciation for native/local and authentic Hunan cuisine. Please do not enter expecting to order your typical fried chicken wings with duck sauce or other staple American Chinese foods there. They do not have them and you will go away hungry and disappointed like I saw from personal experience the last time I frequented the place. My family is originally from Hunan, and there is rarely any restaurant that satisfies my mom's cravings for her native food like this place. The menu contains dishes that even my mom do not attempt as they are too labor intensive or costly. However, when we order them, the dishes take us back to a place where we no longer have easy access to frequent! We can taste that no short cuts were taken to produce such authenticity! It's so rare to have a restaurant in NYC that still makes its food the old-fashioned, home-made way!! Although one thing to note, the owner is also the chef, and sometimes he will go on vacation/take off. We can really taste the difference when an alternative chef is there. We always make sure to ask who's cooking before going there.
