Their ramens are amazing. For me the best ramen that I had so far in the entire NYC. I’m extremely disappointed tht the place closed down. I thought I found the best ramen place & now I can come here anytime ?. I hope I can get in contact with the owner people to ask them if they will ever open up. I really hope they do.

This place is unquestionably one of the best restaurants in the area. Always when I come there I am extremely pleased. They preserve their high standard service and the highest level of cooking they give. You will be always satisfied with this place. Highly recommended.

This restaurant is the one I always prefer. I go to plenty of restaurants but to this place I go the most. The team is very welcoming and the cuisine they offer is so good. I would always prefer to have a decent dinner in this restaurant. I recommend this place with pleasure.

HuaBei Dumpling Ramen Shop (華北餃子拉麵) is a fast casual ramen and dumpling shop. I'm not a fan of HuaBei's style of ramen, but I do like their dumplings, and their ambiance. There is no waiter service here, and no need to pay tips. Place your order at the counter. Credit cards are accepted. You'll receive a buzzer when you place your order, which tells you when your food is ready to be picked up. If a part of your order isn't ready, you'll also get a numeric marker with your tray, and staff will bring out the remainder of your order when that is ready. When you've finished eating, return your tray(s) to the back, where there are open racks for used trays and dishes. Because HuaBei issues real tableware and flatware, there are no customer-accessible garbage cans. Seating is cafeteria-style, on wood stools without back support -- either bar stool height, or regular seat height. The thick wood tables all have hooks underneath, for one's bags or coats. There is one unisex bathroom, which we haven't tried. The bathroom code is printed on one's receipt. HuaBei's ambiance can be lovely. When the restaurant isn't crowded, the décor and glow of the faux windows and awnings along the brick wall can make it feel like one is eating outdoors on a spring or autumn night. Food: Generally OK (3 of 5), though our last visit leaned more toward the "We've Had Better" (2 of 5) category. HuaBei's differentiation seems to be greater variety and heartier selections of protein options compared to other noodle shops. However, the noodles and ramen broths here seem average at best. Dishes We've Had: - Beef Cube Ramen (牛展粒拉面; $10): Average broth; the beef cubes contained a lot of tendon -- get this if you like tendon, otherwise I would recommend the short rib. - BBQ Beef Short Rib Ramen (牛肋骨拉麵; $12): this came with large chunks of tender short rib, which were very good; and with a fish-based broth that didn't complement the beef and its BBQ sauce. The broth could also have been served slightly warmer. - Chives and Pork Fried Dumplings (韭菜猪肉饺子; $5 for 8 dumplings) Pretty good the first time we had it, but not as much the last time we visited. Maybe HuaBei was having an off night. - Beef Steam Rice Noodle Roll (特式牛肉拉腸粉; $4): Not my thing. The noodles were too mushy and the beef had an over-enhanced flavor to it. HuaBei Dumpling Ramen Shop offers a broad selection of inexpensive options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and may be worthy of consideration for a quick meal, but I wish HuaBei could execute a little better.

Hidden gem in downtown flushing. Has a variety of choices-ramen, rice soup, congee, and apps. Generous potion and very reasonable price for that. The shop itself is spacious and clean. Usually not too crowded.

Really low price for great, delicate, elegant and health food. Clean place, great dining experience. Personally highly recommend.

Food is great, a lot of options and very affordable. I like this place, however the restaurant does not have high chair for my baby. That is the only minus I have in mind.

Came here for breakfast and to be honest loveee the selection and food. There are 4 breakfast sets available and even lunch is available at 8:30 am. Will definitely come back to try the other dishes. My only complaint and a big one is there are ABSOLUTELY no HIGHCHAIR! Is that even legal for a restaurant to have no highchair?!? I should look that up. My husband and I could t even enjoy our food as their chair is not suitable for a toddler. I even brought my own toddler chair but it won't hook on to their stools! Please have one highchair at least. Seriously, how family unfriendly are you?!

Really great ramen here. Good dumplings, cute little space to sit and eat.

I was drawn to this restaurant the first moment I passed by it. The wood paneled exterior really makes it stand out, not to mention having the words "dumpling" and "ramen" in its signage. The interior is set up like as if it were an indoor alley: red awnings, faux windows, brick walls, string lights, and even another "outdoor" signage. I think it's pretty well done. It seems always crowded, but there're more tables upstairs if you can't find place to sit. When we were there, there were only a handful of physical menus at the ordering counter, so we had to partially rely on the electronic menu and postings on the wall while we waited in line. Lest by the time it was our turn to order, we wouldn't have enough time to flip through the menu at the counter. On this visit we tried their takes on some of their Japanese dishes. Although not quite authentic, they were still delicious and offered great value. Unagi Don Eel Rice $12. This was featured on the electronic menu, normally $14. Good amount of teriyaki seasoned eel, and came with a bowl of miso soup. Excellent! Pork Spare-rib Ramen $8. and Pan-Seared Japanese Baby Scallop Ramen $10, Both ramen had the same soup base and toppings (fish cake slices, corn, mung bean sprouts, and of course the soft boiled egg), but I was pleasantly surprised by the baby scallops. I was thinking at $10, they're probably imitation scallops; but these are the real, albeit small, whole scallops! I would have that bowl of ramen next time around! Hope to be back soon!

Price was really nice or beLow average, about $2.5 for a wonton noodle soup. Quality of their dumplings, ramen, or rice roll wasn't as expected and wasn't tasted that good. Parking is impossible near that area. Not really recommended to all, unless you want something simple and quick for less than $3 for soup.

Not bad. Thought the soup could use a little bit more flavor.

This place is self served and located in downtown Flushing. The food is good but it's always packed unless you come in an odd hour. They have a variety of choices and they all seem delicious. It's a place that I would definitely recommend to try.

Great place to get lunch. I am a fan of their congee set meals. Prices are really inexpensive and there's definitely a variety of options. The seating area is a bit tight but most diners eat and go so turnover for open tables don't take too long.

I always come here for their breakfast, $5 for a bowl of congee and a dish of rice roll. Where can I find the same thing with the same price? Welcome to msg me the info. and I would love to try too. The place has A good doctor and with many seats. Good food with a good price. Nice staff and clean environment. Not a must-come place, but a place I usually go in the neighborhood
