I really good they come back to businesses. I've had an amazing time here and everyone that I've recommended to come here or brought here fell in love with it. It's a small intimate space and the owner was more like a host for a party. Everyone was laughing and having fun together. If I remember circling out was average 170pp for omakase and deformed worth it. You'll be so full and the ingredients were super fresh. The chefs are tom my butt very skilled and disciplined in their craft. Definitely recommend! Even a great place for you to come alone.

I walked in on the evening of Valentine's Day and was very satisfied with the taste and service. The ingredients are also very fresh, but the price is a bit expensive. It's still acceptable to eat once in a while. For me, who has a big appetite, it would be about 6-7 minutes full.

Stumbled on this by accident, and decided to give it a chance. Quiet and homey, yet elegant atmosphere. Service is good.Omakase is a good value compared to other places, especially for imported seafood. I got the chawanmushi (steamed egg) and the Chirashi. Great chawanmushi, it's soft delicate and savory. They added truffle to it as an extra bonus, it came topped with a little scallop. I recommend getting it if you're a fan of homemade flavors tasting high end. Also very, very good chirashi don. Fish was fresh and tasty. Presentation was on point, it resembled a jewelry bowl. I found high quality pieces of tuna and white fish. Rice is well balanced/seasoned.

So I tried to give this place a second chance. Apparently they always have a rice shortage when I come in. I hope is not because of my race that they keep turning down to serve Me. They always have an excuse as to why they can tend to me. But at this point I do feel like is about race . It is a shame. I do hope is not because if it is you guys a missing out on great customer base. You should definitely advertise that you serve base oh how much rice you have in your stablishment. But never will I give them a third chance. To the owner I want to say just know there’s like 20 other sushi restaurant just on that block in case you guys missed it. I would like to know if any colored person have come here and felt like they were treated different. Please let me know maybe I’m wrong and I hope I am ❤️

I don’t know how this place has such high reviews. I’d give it maybe 2.5 star, but definitely no more than 3 for the price point. I don’t mind paying, but not for the quality & service I received for $170 omakase + tax & tip.

We had a really special night in this intimate spot. I can definitely see this restaurant being a great restaurant to become a regular. Everything is very sourced and high quality. The delicate portions were perfect for us. Service was just enough but not too intrusive. Minimal look on the sushi counter. Very recommended to order a few dishes at a time and just enjoy slowly.

Very very strong quality for the price here. They source premium ingredients so there's a good range -- you can spend $30 or $100 and be happy with both. Definitely the best sushi in the neighborhood, highly recommend.

Kakurega provides phenomenal, fresh sushi in a low-key, underground location at the heart of Flushing, NY. For the $$$, you're getting a selection of amazing quality fish. There is an a affordable omakase option for $58 during the week as well that I unfortunately didn't get to try. I ordered the tri toro don - $28 (not on their online menu), and they even added a bit of delicious uni for me on the house. The three forms of tuna were all delicious, melts right in your mouth. The eel sashimi - $8 for one piece, was excellent as well. The sake we had was Kamoizumi Nigori Ginjo, and it had the perfect amount of sweetness. If you're looking for tremendous quality, this is the place. Expect to spend some $$$ when you visit. 4/5

We ate everything! The sushi quality is so good and I’m so happy we found this underground gem.

Had the omakase, and it was great. However, the only complaint i have is that the sushi itself has some creativity, but falls just short of the perfect amount. King salmon and fatty tuna were amazing, and loved all the appetizers and desserts.

We made an appointment via email a few weeks prior since we wanted to make sure we could bring our kids (2 years old and 8 month baby) normally omesake doesn’t allowed kids . They were super accommodating and allowed us to sit at the bar ! Waitress was very sweet and friendly. Overall we were impressed by the appetizers course part of the omesake . Majority of the sushi were good. Some were average but I would still recommend this place overall. We will be back next time we visit nyc !

I ordered toro tartar, very nice appetizer, plus the fresh scallops was sweet. You can taste the ocean from this fresh scallops. Absolutely amazing. The service was also very nice, she explained the ways to eat this toro tartar with seaweed. Thanks I order some sushi, you might think the portion is too small, but let me tell you, it worth it with the top quality. Will come back next time to check this place for sure.

They call this a hidden gem and they are right! Tucked away in the basement, this isn't your everyday sushi joint. The menu doesn't offer 100 made up rolls to choose from. Only 4. California with real crab, king salmon, bluefin tuna, and veggie, to which you can add avocado and make spicy. The beauty lies in their main offerings. Starting with Japanese oysters, which were divine, then a tri - toro (tuna) jewelbox that has fatty tuna, chutoro (medium fatty tuna), and akami (regular bluefin tuna), with some salmon roe and a quail egg. Man oh man...so good!We had the different tunas as nigiri sushi, a salmon avocado spicy roll, a California roll, more fatty tuna, and a sea snail in the shell. All this with a large bottle of unfiltered sake from the well stocked sake bar. An amazing sushi experience like few others in the US.
