The price/performance ratio is quite high, but the service level is very low.

Excellent food and service, and reasonable price. The bad experience was about the tip. The waiter was upset and insisted to receive more than what I decided to give. Very out of place.

This is belated review as I visited the restaurant a few weeks ago. It’s an all you can eat hotpot place. I think the food is decent for the price per person. They also have some free appetizers at the sauce station and free appetizers. The service could use some improvement. One of the waitress keep forgetting our request for changing clean plates.

First time visiting Liuyishou and I regret the experience. Me and my friend group were attracted by the $32/adult all-you-can-eat experience. However, they do not advertise that this will NOT include the soup broth for the hot pot. So far, whatever, no big deal. The quality of food is very meh. The "fresh" tofu, noodles, etc. did not taste fresh at all, you can tell very quickly. It is a very crammed environment, barely space to move. You are also expected to get your own water at the entrance via a water dispensor... Incredibly annoying to get up and refill drinks in between meals. A water pitcher at each table would've been easier. The sauce station isn't regularly maintained until you tell someone. All of the employees were running around and I had to stand for 5+ minutes waiting to get someones attention to get a refill on the sesame paste. Initially, our 1st order came relatively fast. Everything after that, the waiters took very long to bring our subsequent dishes. A single order of 10 slices of pork belly should not take over 10 minutes... Most of this place is self-service, especially since you order on the tablet. The bathroom was also incredibly dirty, the floor covered in water. After we decide that we are done, we pay for our meal which totals to almost $40/person (for a total of 5 people) before tip. The recommended tip starts 18% and we did not believe the service to be worthy of a tip that large. We left an 8% tip which is more than generous considering the trash service and food we got. Walking out of the restaurant, before we even reach the end of the stairs, our waiter has the incredibly nerve to run after us. He holds up our cash and points to the receipt saying "Excuse me, this is not enough. The minimum is 18%". NOWHERE does it say an 18% tip is required. It is suggested. He starts to pressure us to pay and did all this to stop us from leaving. Frustrated and tired, we end up giving him the remaining 10% and leave. Absolutely unbelievable. The nerve to pressure a bunch of college students for a SUGGESTED tip and claim it is required. Never coming here again. For all of this, we should have went across the street to Haidilao.

As far as I can say, if anyone knows HaiDiLao or 99 Flavor Taste in NYC, then this one hot place in Queens is definitely the king of all AYCE hot pot places I've been to in NYC. It has the quality factor of HaiDiLao with the price of 99 Flavor Taste, IF it means travelling a long way to Flushing. The price for the lunch special is very reasonable at 29, but the quality was SO much nicer than 99 Flavor. Waiting staff is very nice and friendly there as well, if that were to be a factor with going to a restaurant. Definitely a worthy challenger of 99 Flavor, and it sure does show.9.7/10

I like you I like you

It's the first time I went there today. It's not delicious and it's expensive. The price is 32 per person for the bottom of the pot. But when I checked out, it was 50.

staff there was really stand offish to me they brought me to a table and slapped a table down said order here and ran away. then the next day i when there and the the signed out of they tablet then signed it in and i had a different menu that changed extra for the soup base. i think it was because im not asian. i’ve always tipped were and was courteous. but when they change the tablet to charge extra for me, I knew I wasn’t welcome, so I just left after all happy lamb is just as good and cheeper
