The server was so nice, and the side dish was very excellent.

Yuk Jun Gui is a Korean BBQ restaurant that specializes for fresh eel. It is a small restaurant located in Queens. Serves a generous amount of side dishes and steamed egg as well as stew. I really enjoy their gopchang.

Second time at this restaurant. Came here for the eels. They serve fresh eels and so many side dishes, we left the restaurant feeling really full. The owners are so nice and friendly. Felt like I was home!

Have to say that the food and service were both very underwhelming. Texture of the eel was very hard; we ordered large intestines because that was what was shown in their photo but we were served small intestines instead; kalbi and pork belly were both very thin/not good quality. They charge $50/order of kalbi which is pretty much the going rate right now but the quality is far subpar compared to the many other Korean bbq’s near by. The server’s English was very limited so we stopped asking questions as she became agitated. Overall a very disappointing experience.

Gave 3 stars because it was so expensive. Bill came out to almost 150 (without tip) for 3 items (meat 30+, meat 30+, crab 45+, and 2 bottles of beer). The food quality is not bad. Side dishes were refilled without asking although we didn't eat a lot. We ordered pork belly, duck and crab. Meats were very small portions and crab was probably 4 or 5 of them (for 45+). They cooked the meat and brought it to our table. I'm not sure if the hoods over the tables are working but it's not a big deal as I think it kept the restaurant from smoking up. The old lady was very nice and would have given a higher rating but I wouldn't go back based on the cost.

We walked by this restaurant and decided to have a light dinner after having shaved-ice nearby on a hot day. This is a typical casual KBBQ joint with pretty good charcoal BBQ and good service. We ordered the Kalbi and Squid, both good quality and quite tasty.A neighborhood gem, so glad we gave it a shot and we will be back with friends to try different meats/items next time.

The eel was amazing, portion is very great with the price. Pork belly is probably the best I have tried in all New York City. The service was spectacular, friendly and hospitable. I will recommend it people who love Korea bbq or who ever enjoys great food for a good price.

I love this place. The eel and meats are so fresh and delicious. Their banchands is probably the best in flushing. I love their kimchi jjigae. The owner is so sweet especially to my boys. Feels like bringing my boys to their grandparents for dinner. Their set menus are also great! I always come out happy because it comes with two bottle of soju ? highly recommend ?

Alrighty, folks, it's time for me to dish out the deets on this hidden gem of a Korean BBQ spot. Tucked away from the main street flushing area, you'll find a fantastic old school joint that specializes in eel BBQ. And let me tell you, it's worth the trip just for the eel. This isn't your average run-of-the-mill kbbq joint, folks. They grill over live charcoal, which is about as traditional as it gets. But that's not all, my hungry friends. The food in general is top-notch, with a variety of meats available for kbbq, including some more difficult-to-find options like duck, tripe, intestine, and quail. Of course, they've got your traditional galbi and pork belly covered too. And if you're not feeling like grilling, they've got stir-fried and other dishes to tantalize your taste buds. And don't even get me started on the raw marinated crab, which is made in-house and seasonal. To really get the full experience, go for one of their set menus, which even includes soup and soju. Now, let's talk sides. We all know that some kbbq places skimp out on the banchan (side dishes), but not this place. They've got over 10 types of banchan and refills are free, just like at other Korean restaurants.Last but not least, let's give a shoutout to the friendly service at this joint. Although most of the patrons are Korean, the servers and owner speak English and will happily direct you. So what are you waiting for? Make the trip out and give this place a try. You won't regret it.
