So glad to still be able to get high quality traditional appetizers like these in Queens...a true gem!!!

A hidden gem in Queens. Word of mouth is really how one finds out about this great establishment for smoked salmon. Competes equally with the bigger well known one in Brooklyn. Carmen is great. Friendly, great service and cuts the salmon like a pro. The smoked salmon is full of flavor. Other highlights here are the sturgeon and baked salmon but the lox is the go to. Decent prices and will be back for all my lox cravings.

The best lox, sable, matjes herring and whitefish salad. Only open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Call before you go.

Wonderfully delicious smoked and some baked fish. A hidden gem in Glendale Queens. Smoked salmon, lox, sturgeon and more. Shared samples to taste. Call head to check what is available and hours.

hands down the best lox in Queens. As good, if not better then Zabars.

This is truly a hidden gem. If you like fish, it's a must go. Carmen is there to guide you if you can't decide. Highly recommend sable and salmon.

I am going to say this is the most hole-in-the-wall back alley spot, but man is the Lox out of this world! The lady serving hand slices fresh Nova for you at the counter. Price is about the same as any other high end Smoked Salmon counter. The history of this is basically it used to be its own smoked salmon counter for many years. From what I learned from the lady at the counter all the old employees now work at Banner Smoked Fish in Coney Island. The fish is sent up here to Glendale to still serve customers in the area who come in to purchase. Please Stop by if you havent been! the Quality is amazing and thats coming from someone who goes to Fish Friday at Acme almost every week.

Absolute hidden gem. You will not find better quality smoked fish in New York.

The smoked fish is good and the woman who works there is very nice, very friendly.

Old school style smoked fish. The best lox, smoked sable and sturgeon anywhere in New York.

I have been going to this place, or the place that preceded it for 50 years. The original Rego Smokehouse is gone, but Carmen remains and never sells you anything she wouldn't eat herself. She worked for the old place and stayed after it closed. She is now the owner and operator of a scaled down version of the old place. You get Manhattan quality smoked fish at Queens prices. Carmen sometimes talks about retiring because business is not like it use to be. Please go and if you like it, keep going. If Carmen closes, it will be a big loss to the area. Isn't easy to find the first time you go, but well worth it. Carmen looks to please her customers and wouldn't sell you anything bad. Save the Smoke House, keep Carmen working, enjoy the smoked fish. Places like this are becoming more scarce by the day.

Amazing smoked fish! Totally hidden in an industrial zone. This is an awesome secret I stumbled upon. No need to go uptown for lox anymore :)

This place is awesome. Carmen, who works there, is even more awesome! Everything we tried was really, really good. Unassuming store front, but lots of goodness inside!
